Dark Smile
1) don't sweat the small things
2) don't get a joint bank account.
3) don't fight in front of your kids
4) do not marry person you've been on 2 dates with, just beause you want to spite your parents.
5) do not vent your anger out on each other
6) communication is key
7) you're probably better off not married

It gets better
Maybe not now
Maybe not tomorrow
But I promise it would be

Give it time
And it would heal, eventually
Some things takes time
There is no need to rush

When it does get better
You would never notice
Because you already forgotten
The broken pieces you once were

So take the time
To clear your thoughts
And give your self time
Because in the end... You'll make it

I can tell you that you’re beautiful,
You will not believe me.

I can tell you that you mean everything to me.
You will not care.

I can tell you that you are perfect.
You will accuse me of lies.

I can tell you that you are ugly.
I can tell you I hate you.
I can tell you that you disgust me.

Would then a disagreement come to mind?
People will listen to every negative and never hear the positive.

Eve
She
He approached
She smiled
He spoke
She listened
He held out his hand
She grabbed it
He made promises
She made promises
He smirked
She believed
He took her out
She went with him
He said “I love you”
She meant “I love you too”
He gave her flowers and chocolates
She gave him her heart
He took more than it
She gave it
He enjoyed her
She enjoyed watching him enjoying her
He came often
She loved that
He came seldom
She ignored that
He stopped coming
She stopped smiling

He left her
She left us.

This is just the simple cycle of these type of relationship. It can go visa-versa with the sexes. The guy was wrong but the girl made herself gullible.

I'm chained to this system,
To these rules and regulations,
A constant spiral of the same sights,
Forced artificial happiness,
Recycled reinvented pleasures.

These comforts can only numb the aches,
Until dark skies and cold weather,
Expose my wounds to the wind.

Lack of materials, lack of all,
Keep me trapped in dizzy frustrations,
Fantasising new sensations and places,
Knowing the happy, coloured blurs will sharpen their lens,
And reveal their familiar, colourless forms.

Sitting on my fixed space of land,
Still rooting for the next month to win me over,
For the next week to triumph against the last,
I tug at my tired chains,
Hoping to God there's that there more than this.
First poem I've written, so be nice, but I enjoyed writing it so hopefully there will be more!

I never wanted to love you,
love happened quite by chance.
I just wanted to be your friend,
not to indulge in a new romance.

But..then. something happened suddenly,
and before my heart and soul could know,
I came to know an amazing side of you
that caused my love to grow.

Now the tender way you touch me
I pray will never end.
You are my rock-star
my lover and my friend.

It's impossible to take my steps back
affection has become deep
I don't  expect you to be mine
but at-least I can have you in sleep.

You and I will go
Inescapable is the pain of separation
let's see what's there in destiny
And how strong is the connection.
