If I carved
Out your heart
It could never leave a scar as deep
As the ones you left on me.

I am an alien.
This is not my home.
You all blame it on
"being human",
all those imperfections.
I wish I was human.
Capable of consoling my short-comings
with lies about my inabilitys.
I am capable.
Perfection is possible.
So why lie?
You wouldn't sell a diamond
at half price.
I wish I was human.
Able to neglect my emotions
for fear of their disappointment.
But no...
I cannot forget my duty
I just want to go home again.
- Gloraeanna
I don't understand the phrase "you're just human" that people say when you make a "mistake". What does making mistakes have anything to do with being human? Mistakes are only mistakes once you regret them. Otherwise they are just actions. Judgment makes everything so complicated.

Even angels can make mistakes, Satan for example.....

Closed eyes
Open a dark secret space
Moments go by, and
You've forgotten to breathe again.
You're trying too hard again.
Your fears are blinding you
From the light life around you

Remember the things you've forgotten
You couldn't forget their haunting
If you neglect them
You'll grow weaker (they'll win)
If you forget them
You'll only move slower (now run)

All your dreams you wish would be
They could free you from this reality, but
You've forgotten to breathe again.
You're trying too hard again.
If only you could see
You don't have to change a thing

Your fears are binding you
If only you would drop that pack
You wouldn't have to panic
If you neglect them
You'll grow stronger (you'll win)
If you forget them
You'll move faster (now run)

Just breathe the light life around you
Just see the truth that is you

I closed my eyes today to try and calm downbut I noticed I wasn't breathing. I was stressing out about some things. Once I drew my next breath it felt as if I could feel all the air in the whole room. I felt like I was in a pool of thick water. I'm guessing this sensation came because of the release of stress and the new oxygen released into my blood, but it was such I beautiful feeling. This poem doesn't do it justice, but it was the best I could do...

Lie
I wanted to share more of me
You just wanted to flaunt to your friends
I was willing to give you everything
But you turned all my love into shame
I was prepared to give you my life
But you had me believing a lie

Surender your sorrows
And save yourself
Set your sights
And sing your song

My husband, sitting next to me playing Zombies, noticed I was writing on my phone and began to speak the words of this poem. Pretty good for someone who doesn't make a hobby of writing don't you think?

Buried under shallow water
Faced up to the sky
I've been lying here for hours
Watching the stars shine
The gentle, muffled ripples
Reflecting dancing light
Onto the sand around me
Soft, clean, and white
I don't know how I got here
I don't know why I stay
No one is coming to save me
But I'm not afraid

You know that feeling you get when you lay at the bottom of a pool and look up at the sky? That silence. Perfect.

If you can be poor with someone, you are rich.
If your well is dry, you are the bridge.
If you can go with them with nothing, you are something.
If together you chase your true calling, you can stop running.

My husband and I don't have much money anymore, but somehow it has made us closer. I guess our struggle is the same so we know eachothers pain. No matter what we don't have we will always have eachother. That's all that matters...anymore.
