Say my name
Say it gently
Use your words
To caress me
Speak your thoughts
Speak them out loud
Confess your love
Amidst the crowd
Scream your wishes
Scream your dreams
Make your reality
Better than it seems
Whisper your pain
Whisper your fears
Release the tension
Wipe away your tears
Open your mind
Open up wide
Let my love in
Let me inside

You cant save my life
I am drawn
drawn in my own pain

You cant make me happy
I am covered
Covered with my own grief

You cant read me
I am written in the paper
damped by my own tears
You were a star
        That was plain
                To see.
                    But
He never caught
                 Sight
Of you shooting
              Across his skies.
Love drowns many thoughts.
Actions that we would never
Swim in before, if not for the sake
Of swimming in another's heart.
People like that I speak plain.
They don’t like when poets are vain.
Hope they love this little refrain.
Think I’ll do it, again and again.

Flowery language isn’t always for me,
I keep my verses wandering free.
Simple words do hold the key,
So a sapling becomes a tree.

Paul Butters
A few nice rhymes.
I found myself wasted
literally
I was outward and true
I was fearless and sometimes blue

I found myself wasted
consumed by my favorite drink
happy I am able to click

I found myself wasted
befriending everyone
oblivious to their intentions

I found myself wasted
wasting..no not wasting
enjoying the night

I found myself wasted
I wish everyone
can be wasted
so they can
remove
that ugly
facade
that
keeps you
from
me
We are all dreamers
how else could we have lived
in a desolate and lonely world
where life is struggling to breathe
and the heart is bereft and  barren
seeking consolation and relief?

we dream
because it's through dreams
we create a new world
and become what we aspire to be
the dross drops away
the dust vanishes
weeds disappear
to be replaced by
radiant flowers that burst
into the fresh and welcoming air
and what is before us
starts to shine
like the brightest light of day

they are the visionaries
who have the courage to dream
defying all that which destroys
love, charity and beauty
they are the harbingers
of a new era
torch-bearers
to light up the world
the hope-givers
who will set every human heart free
