I've realized the worst pain is loving someone more than they love you
you expect them to catch you when you are falling
you fall completely
but they pull the string to their parachute and float above you
while you are still falling
and when you really fall and hit the ground alone,
That is the worst pain

i'm trapped in your virtual reality
reciting poems of love
& dancing to strange tunes
of swinging simple beats
played on the 1989 jukebox
while stars snow down in the bleak
& the tide washes in on where we could be
i marvel up at the sky
because there is little better to do
than enjoy the presence of your company
crooning like a shadow in the bonfire
i catch you in my sleep,
but nothing can bring me back to you
now that you're gone

What's past is past
I'm not looking back
Neither should you
I don't care what you've done
Or what's happened
Sure, you've been shattered
But so have I
I'll hold you when you cry
It's no trouble
I'm capable of helping you through
          Resilence
It's what I do
Simply who I am
I'm strong, I withstand
I love wholeheartedly
         Giving my all
I'm offering it to you
Take it or not, it's still yours
Give me some time
I can offer you even more
          Eyes closed,
I dream you say yes
Don't think about it too much
Don't second guess
I may be tough
But I'm not sure how much more loss I can take
My sweet poetic friend
So true to word and flow
The raw grit and emotion 
It's attractive, you know
I'm not sure where this is gonna go
Just don't say no
Don't walk away like those before
I'm asking for friendship, no more
              For now.......

Honesty in poetry
What we both do

I am weary of the worry,
Weary of the pain,
Weary of the dreary teary,
Weary of the shame,
Tired of all the sickness in me,
And tired of my name.
But deep inside my heart of hearts,
There lives a drop of sun,
And when life’s at its darkest,
To here my hurt can run,
For when all about is dimming,
It shines brighter, ‘til I’m brimming.
And Jesus’s hand that’s holding mine,
Soothes my heart, now back in line,
I’m grateful for this time I have,
To lie and wait for you,
To hold on tight, to cry and sigh,
And know that you are true.

I want sleep
When I close my eyes
I smile

I need dreams
To see that face
It's been awhile

I crave poetry
Only yours will do
I'm so weak

I desire love
Only from you
To hear you speak

Wanting
Needing
Craving
Desiring
Sleeping, dreaming, poetry, loving
My life
