It is
the perfect
paradox exemplary
we wholeheartedly
and completely
spoil ourselves
in search of joy
within this
perishable
and mortal world

No longer hyperbole

No longer making time

As children of the technological sea

Landfill up their dreams

Pour them like liquid

Pluck them like chickens

Aquarium their little minds:

Tell them they're lucky starfish

Better off without daylight

Able to live underwater

As offspring of nobody

No longer making memories

No longer exaggeratory

Her heart was
my port, as I
sailed lost in
those
vagrant waters.
Her eyes were my
lighthouse
through the
fog and the storms
of life.

Oh, how I loved
her
once upon a time,
when I was lost
at sea;
she was my shore,
my harbor of joy.

The nights are darker
without her,
and the Stars
hide their sadness
behind the clouds.

I am
older now...
colder
now
without her touch.

And she loved all the things that tore her down.
Often left empty and alone,
she said she’s not broken.
She has flown into agonizing
fire and danced in perilous storms.
Her bond with her rhymes freed her faithful soul.

The glint in your eyes
When I cupped your moons
Was only a prelude
To the gravitational pull
Between two heavenly bodies
Finally untethered
From the chains
Of solitary confinement

History and research are incredible but not for everybody
You have be a detective and care enough to search deeper than you would think possible
with all the Technology and information available there is so much more to find and comb through
Some discoveries will delight you and others will keep the search until you find what you are looking for or seek out discoveries beyond your grasp
You had little or no knowledge of the past and those who carry your DNA
The maze of research and work is exhilarating. sometimes fruitless, and then the awe when you find out more than you bargained for
Still going through the maze to find out completely who I am and where it all began
In some ways, on my own

We were a waltzing marathon
Eternal box steps in the ballroom
In my dreams, we danced forever

I wore you like a cloak and
your skirts brushed against my ankles
with every twist and turn

My skin sings when I dance. Every inch is fire. Even behind my ears,
in-between my fingers, the tip of my nose
and bottom of my chin
When I dance I feel it all
Draped around me, I felt you all
You were so heavy…

I wore you like a mourning robe
It was so sad to dance with someone so sad,
but in my dreams, our dance was picturesque
Sadness can be beautiful.

If there comes a time
that you might lose me

I'm the one with all the power

Yet, I feel completely powerless

You say goodbye
But you don’t really mean it
It’s just a lie
This before – I have seen it
We’re stuck in time
Destined to keep repeating
You say goodbye
But you don’t really mean it

When I was a young boy
My greatest wish was to be a star
Not a star as in a celebrity
But an actual star above your head
In the sky
Like nature’s best
I’ve always yearned
To be free
A beacon of light
Standing tall
So full of love
A clear path for others to seek
Guiding light shines so bright
A refuge for those enduring much pain
To be someone’s wishes
If I can reach for whatever
It will reach for me too.....
Nothing has changed!
