Mrs Ashley Somebody
Walking along, a sunny day
Just a boy and his dog
Smiling, laughing, barking, skipping
Further and further along.

Following behind her boy
The faithful puppy trots
She would follow him anywhere
Through all the shady spots.

As the road gets rougher
The boy knows she should go
She can't follow him forever
But his little puppy doesn't know.

He'll see her tomorrow
'Go home, girl,' he says
His puppy doesn't understand
She happily stays.

Stopping, the boy turns,
'Go home, girl!' he cries
Confused, the puppy stops
And looks into his eyes.

"Go!" he shouts, louder now
His dog winces at his voice
He doesn't want her to get hurt
So he has no choice

Throwing a stone, he runs at her
"Get out of here!" he shouts
And away runs his precious dog
Hurt and stunned with doubts.

She'll be alright, he knows
Her feelings they will heal
Next time she will know
His anger was not real.
Allegory.

I messaged you, man,
And it said that you were there
But you weren't. So true.

Hi
I'd like to say hi
To all you I haven't met;
I really can't wait.
My mom says college is where you make friends you'll have the rest of your life.

Sometimes, if someone told me I lived in Candyland,
I'd agree because my music is so bubbly,
My outfit is so bright,
And my disposition is ecstatic.  Frankly.

Oh Lord, help me, please
I know I can't do all this;
I don't want to fail.
I'm trusting that You know me,
I know You, You'll get me through.

A fairy poked my little nose
And gave me a sense of adventure
And now every time that I'm held back
I wonder what that scent was meant for.

Excuse me sir, but
My life's been turned upside down
I've moved twice this year
You just stab me in the heart
And expect me to function?

Mrs Ashley Somebody
I'll use this weapon
This my strength and my weakness
Guilt for what you've done.

Everything you said
Was really true, I have found;
Truth like what you told
Doesn't set me free, sadly
I feel bound to change myself.

I didn't feel cool when I came here
Old jeans, and shirts were worse
But my one consolation
Was that I had my converse.

Mrs Ashley Somebody
You always give truth
All my days I will listen
Your words give me life.

Mrs Ashley Somebody
Sprinkled in your hair,
Every screen saver you had,
Planted in your yard,
'Till he gave them a bad name;
Then all of your flowers died.

Take it into your own hands,
Take responsibility;
Grab the tiller, make your plans,
But you wouldn't if you were me.
