Hollow
The words still ring with an ethereal hum
"I'm proud of the woman that you have become"

Home?

The wandering waters of unknowing
Have been forced ashore
By the tides of acceptance

And I am happy oblige
For too long have I drifted
Upon the endless non existence
Of emptiness

Home

The word seems unfamiliar to me
But with the foreignism
Comes arrows of hope
That pierce the stark pessimistic thoughts

HOME

I will sing this word from every angle of my world
Every misdirected pathway
Every crayon scribbled corner that I know

From the bottom of my gut
And the top of my heart
I can say
Home
And smile with the thought

I am forgiven
And I forgive

Forgetting comes later
It never hurts to be loved once in a while.

We gather them,

These stolen moments,
These orphaned seconds,
These lost dark minutes.

Stateless, Unattached,
These refugee clicks
With no form or voice
Do not belong here.

We pile them up,

These off cuts of time,
These shards of passing,
This swarf of tempo.

Shreds of interval
And dislocation
With no named event
To give them title.

And with our small words we bind them,
A suture in the wounded day,
To make a tiny poem of the scars.

Hollow
Miles and
Miles and miles
Constant fake smiles
And so much small talk
When there's big talk to be had

Tired feet and sore driving hands
Hundreds of dollars on coffee
****, where are my smokes?
Lost under the seat
Most likely

Monty
In the car please
Need to leave this place
Moving on to the next state
Both geographically, and of mind

Leave these faded memories behind
And move on to the new chapter
Of my life's extremely cheap
And poorly constructed
Scrapbook

Map out
New territories
And fresh beginnings
To feel like I'm productive
Because normally, I sit in silence

I wonder what people with lives do
From one day to the next
Do they have fun with
Staying constant?
Stable?

Pretty pretty pretty
But you remain the same
As the childish and petty
To whom living is a game

Ugly ugly ugly
Not a blemish in sight
Because the pretty ones bug me

Why attempt to claim the moral high ground
When your pathetic argument holds no sway
Why march to war with the rebel bound
In the uncommon disposition of yesterday
Why hold pretentious personality
When acceptance is based on adaptation
A pyramid scheme brings fatality
To your pseudo-martyr nation
Unwarranted non cooperation
With the voices of the future
Speak without brainwashed sedation
And unravel your poisoned sutures
Your self proclaimed image of authority
Is unwanted within the confines of freedom
You back a mentality of all encompassing conformities
When the generation of today can't see them
Your hubris lacks the willingness to act
Yet you call yourself Ole-Times-Hardened
And the simple depressing fact
Is that your ignorance cannot be pardoned
Leave while you hold a handful of passion
Before it is lost in the folds of time
Because dignity with age is not everlasting
You are but another one track mind
Whether or not you care to move forward
The world turns on an invisible axis
There is always a new world order
And living life requires emotional taxes
So be willing to express and voice opinions wholly
But like many lost souls before you say
Wander unknown territories carefully
Because the past is lost with today

Ooh, darling, darling, don't go in there
If you get lost, it's not up to me to care
I tried to warn you, you weren't being fair
So I beat your skin and I pulled your hair

I am your monster and you can't get away
Accept the torrential downpour of hate
Without me you wouldn't be here today
This is your destiny, end goal and fate

Feel my fists come down on your thighs
Feel the trickle of tears in your eyes
Cower beneath my masculine size
I won't stop hitting until I hear no more cries

Bam

Bam

Bam

Oh the pain of harbored anger
The **** of an innocent mind
The frailty of a hated body
**** me here, **** me there
**** me anywhere

I still carry this scar
Countless children and young adults grow up in situations similar to me. I know what it's like to be afraid.
