Doing what you're supposed to,
Is a mixed feeling in itself,
Trying to chase something better,
While I sit at a place
And appreciate the clutter.
Trying so hard,
Nothing to see
But my own heart,
Maybe at peace
As it once was,
It now lies awake,
Waiting for an end
To this longing
My eyes,
Don't give any answers
To your questions of belonging
Where are we?
Am I with you?
Only if I knew,
I'd tell you too!
Trying to stay off the dark side,
Always knowing the dark inside me
Ain't no rainbow in my heart,
Cold snow everywhere I see.
Another adventure awaits,
On the crisp of your mortality
One last leap of faith,
To set the record straight
Was it worth the wait?
To alter the course of a life
Based on ecstatic escapades of thrill;
A high flying free bird.

For now, the time has come
To lay low for a while
Always knowing deep in your heart
You are way too tired to go on,
That you are counting down the moments
Before you trade,
A short life for a sure life.
As Hozier says,
"Take me to church,"
Oh God, please do,
Place me inside that beautiful metal tube,
Gliding through blue skies,
Put me in an airplane,
So I can be renewed,
Please, don't leave me stranded here on the ground,
All I crave it to touch the clouds,
I'll sacrifice my entire being,
If I'm only allowed to fly.
Sunlight makes its move beyond the safe Clouds.
Clouds finally let the Sunlight go free.

Sunlight reaches toward the awaiting greenery.
Clouds hesitate to question its judgment.

Sunlight grasps the hands of Earth.
Clouds spy on Sunlight's careful movements.

Sunlight heats the world in a clear embrace.
Clouds meander further away in hiding.

Sunlight ignites passion within the plants.
Clouds rely on an evaporation vice.

Sunlight relaxes in the west, pleased.
Clouds find solace in the salty air.

Sunlight wakes up to the smiling blossoms.
Clouds glare from a distance.

Sunlight gazes at its new abundance of fruit.
Clouds long for a sweet release.

Sunlight notices its once dear lover.
Clouds acknowledge Sunlight's attention.

Sunlight begins to scorch the ground.
Clouds play upon the mountains.

Sunlight angers at the coyness.
Clouds laugh at the needy air.

Sunlight intensifies to torch the trees.
Clouds begin to realize the desire.

Sunlight glances in the direction of its hope.
Clouds gather up courage to make its move.

Sunlight begs for saturated fulfillment.
Clouds glide toward Sunlight in sweet surrender.

Sunlight kisses its precious love.
Clouds cherish its tender caress.

Sunlight probes its worth by revealing true emotion.
Clouds relinquish control and release the passion.

Sunlight holds the clouds so dearly.
Clouds feel peace letting loose all emotion.

Sunlight stares amazed at the Clouds.
Clouds feel the warmth of Sunlight.

Sunlight makes its move beyond the safe Clouds.
Clouds yet again let the Sunlight go free.

Earth can't survive without this temperamental love affair.
If my Valentine you won't be,
I'll hang myself on your Christmas tree.
Some will pray on your weakness,
Just to get what they want.

Always hiding their true intentions ,
And putting up a really good front.

They all have a secret agenda,
When they hide things from the start.

Instead of being honest,
They end up breaking a heart.

A heart that was already fragile,
And very very weak.

They prey upon these people,
So They get what they do seek.

When you finally see what has happened,
It’s usually way to late.

They turn what feelings u had for them,
Into something they call hate.

Why was I so foolish,
To let them bring me down.

You just made my worth go up,
Like an elegant wedding gown.

I now see your true colors,
And let there be no mistake.

You have shown me you are worthless,
Like a diamond that's found to be fake.

I hope you take this moment,
To realize what you lost.

I now know my true worth,
Don’t worry I’ll cover the cost.

When I'm out
and you see me,
My feelings you may never know.

But when I put pen to paper,
My feelings usually will show.

Never afraid to share my happiness,
Or to let you read my pain.

I put all my thoughts on paper,
And never will I refrain.

From telling you that I hurt,
Or telling you what I know.

The thoughts and feelings
Inside my head,
And not knowing which way to go.

Some may think it’s a gift,
But truly it can be a curse.

All I know
when I let things out,
It keeps me from getting  worse.

Ever fight with a demon,
Laughing inside your head.

They can make you have fear at night ,
As if they are under your bed.

So If I can give you  wisdom,
Before I let you go.

Never fear letting things out,
It how you will continue to grow.

It’s time to crack the bottle,
Time to numb the pain.

Time to open the umbrella,
Time to hide from the rain.

Some have easy lives,
And will never know the struggle.

Never knowing what some go through,
Because all they know is a hustle.

Never given the chance,
Making it with what they had.

Caught up in their surroundings,
Never having a Dad.

I’m thankful for what I have,
I know It could be  so much worse,

That’s why I pay it forward,
I don’t need another curse.

I’ve had my own struggles,
In my own shoes I do walk.

Always keeping my head high,
No matter how much people talk.

I sit upon the fence post,
And try never to hold a grudge.

Because I know I'm not perfect,
I am no one to judge.

Still I sit here
Trying  to numb my pain.

Fighting off my demons,
Like I'm fighting off the rain.
