I resonate
Smiling down from my room
Expectations kills reality
Just as reality kills fantasies

Are they my friends ?

I see the enemy in front of me
He is fearful and he is mocking me

Whispers and looks
Dishonest insects trying to be the center of attention in the room

I am aware of them
Their masks and uniforms
Their scent and their many forms

It is easy to be seduced
But not anymore
I will not be used

There are still many shapes for me to become
Wisdom is the opposite of freedom

I see the enemy in front of me
He is laughing and he is looking at me

I want to end this but he is not letting me

I see the enemy in front of me
Suddenly everything is clearer
I am looking at myself in the mirror

I can't feel anything

But i resonate

Words Of Harfouchism
I am my own enemy and my ego is stopping me from being happy

You’re so afraid of your security
That you accidentally take mine from me.

I felt secure in you until you changed your mind, repeatedly.

If you aren’t ready, please tell me.

Because I’m afraid to wait forever for you only to find that I’ll never be enough for you.

You’re worth the wait and everyone gets cold feet sometimes. I understand your mind a little better now.

“It’s not you,” You tell me.
But I can’t make you see that security is always fleeting. But I will not be. And I just want that to be enough.

I just want to be enough.

I think I’ve calmed your mind on this subject, now. I hope I have.

This all feels like a dream— the highest are so high and the hues are so pure but just like when I’m dreaming, when something hurts it burns and stings and bleeds.

I want to press your kisses between the pages of a book
Like dried flowers from a June day
Your lips flutter over my cheeks, my nose
the throbbing valley of my throat
And I'm convinced you must be a hummingbird

Each kiss feels like a bouquet
You must have drank from the foxglove and yarrow before you
     flew to me
Your heart stutters under my palm
Throbbing fast and full of sweetness

Tell me
Do you understand how delightful you are?
Come
Drink the sugar water from my garden
The cottage is always a little sunnier with you around.

Sweet,
            Juicy,
                      Tasty,
                                fruit.
             Forbidden,
      but
so
    are
          all
               Things
                             that
                awaken
the senses.

You are a garden,
make the promise,
to feed yourself.
Tend your bed.

Surround yourself,
with fertile nourishment.
Swallow in the rays,
of positive energy.

Know what you are not.
Eliminate the weeds,
the friends and blood,
stealing what gives you life,
what makes you tick.

Know your companions.
Grow and deepen,
your roots with them.
Share the glorious light.

Open your palms, leaves,
to yourself.
Grow, rise, and promise,

to reach to the sky.
