I will not use guilt to make you stay.
Never will I ever.

But we are tides now,
crashing against each other,
breaking each other's hearts.

The rock between us is Alaska,
the rock that breaks the wave.

We are discreet in the world.
Familiar with each other.

The truths laced under the lies,
but I don't know which is which-

stained cloth over my head,
i work to forget.

but here i am,
procrastinating

under the bright light.

my life has been a giant knot,

i'm trying to untangle it,
to figure it out.

the more i twist and pull,
the more caught up i am
in my own lies.

im am now undesirably  happy
I was once desirably unhappy
but with sadness came comfort
self pity became my favorite sweater
and now overzealous joy is the cardigan  I thought I would never wear
in the back of my closet, where I wish it would have stayed
change came in every season
winter was now spring
how I longed for the snow
underneath my sorrow was ability
ability to understand
now understanding slowly slipped
from my finger tips
so do not gaze at me with a confused and disapproving glare
while you sip from your every morning coffee
containing precisely three sugars
and two creams
this poem is messy

hold on to what keeps you alive and on this planet
gravity is a constant but your sadness is not
the sun.
a fiery yellow goddess;

and the moon,
her fervent lover,
her devout worshiper.

the moon is a silvery mystery,
with his brooding manner.

he only shines
because the sun graces him
with some of her confidence.

he only shines
because the sun
completes him.

these two lovers,
separated by space.
they worship from afar.

and the royal goddess,
weeps heat
down to us,
her unlucky prisoners.

she pours out her tears of heat
unto the world,
engulfing us,
in her anger and sorrow.

but the moon,*
the queer, shy, moon.
the moon,
her fervent lover,
her devout worshiper.

the moon hides behind dark clouds,
and only comes out to peak at the
             sad,
                                    mediocre,
                                                and stupid
                                                                             lives
we mortals live.

he peaks in wonder,
he peaks in curiosity.
but all eyes fall on him when he steps out.

he is a silver mirage of beauty.

the moon, unlike his fiery lover,
is shy.

he goes into hiding again
once all eyes fall
                                  on him.

sometimes,
the moon
goes out of character.
he gets jealous of earth.

earth,
who takes all of the suns attention.

earth,
who's life revolves around energetic sun.

so sometimes,
the moon,
steps in front of the earth,
and receives all of the beautiful suns glory.
even if just for a moment,

the lovers are reunited.

but,*
space pulls them apart.

as the sun continues to lash down
heat unto mortals.

as the moon, the brooding moon,
continues to hide behind the cloaking clouds,
unseen to the world.
yeah so i was looking outside and... this happened.

Pssstt...
Hey you ...
Yes you,
With the hazel eyes
what if i tell you
i'm planning to
capture the moon
in my glass container
and a little bit of night
and a few stars
a trickle of mid night breeze
will you sneak out with me
will you ??
NO**
You shout this to the world, and the world turns still.
How dare the rain fall, a relative call.

How dare the earth turn, while you still yearn
How dare they laugh, while you still ache.

How dare the sun rise and night fall,
while you have no relief from the grief at all.

The wreaths are dead.
All has been said.

I fake a smile
So he won't see
The pain I feel
Within me.

used to think
i stumbled upon an angel
dressed as a human being

but as wrong as i always was
i meddled with a demon
disguised as someone too beautiful
for me to resist
