I first heard you giggle
and I couldn't hold my smile
Then I heard you laugh
and I sat down for a while
I watched as you spun and danced around the flowers
and treasured every minute and wished that they were hours

Your eyes speak only truth, your smile wide and free
You melt my heart again every time you look at me
your hugs are so sincere when you grab and hold me tight
and I remember what's important, and everything will be alright

I wallow in your tears as your words rip my heart asunder, soul thrown to the winds I drown in the agony of your love.

This little nightmare comes and goes
Its dark and tainted when it comes it grows
it taints all my dreams it crucifies my night
its hauntingly fast, I'm losing this fight

this creature of dark this son of night
fleeing again at the first sight of dawns light
It holds my terrors and haunts my dreams
But the demons it carries are demons from me

If I smiled for you, what would you take from me
If I eased your pain, would you set me free
If I carried your burden, would you carry mine
Or leave me alone, to read ..

We are
   all at once
          the same
yet different

Bodies drifting through a timeless space
Navigating the maze of life

For now drifting apart, until we are made whole again
