A red flower,
Once pretty,
Lying down,
Petals torn,
Stem broken
 Jan 2019 Hello Daisies
Jaron
Some days,
life is like holding
an overflowing chest
of diamonds, rubies, and sapphires.

Other days, I have the same chest,
but I just feel the weight
of a heavy box of rocks.
Our love
Was destined to fail
Instead of seeing me
For all the things I was
You saw me
For all the things I was not
It took me a long time to realize I was good enough all along.
Life is but a blink of the eye,
Death is the real adventure.
Snowfall
Whispers
In mountains high,
Promise renewing
In a healing sky.
How often we seek
Solace
In Forest deep;
We feel akin
To a world
That cannot help
But weep
I post a picture,
I laugh, I smile,
I subconsciously lose myself for a while,
I look at the person,
I'm desperate to be,
Hiding behind that smile,
The smile for the screen,
I post a picture,
I cry, I sob,
Looking at the girl,
I was once reminded off,
For I am no longer,
That ******* the screen,
That girl is no longer what I'm destined to be.
My first poem I've published or shared with anyone.

Speak
 Jan 2019 Hello Daisies
Mick
When did this become so difficult?
writing just to write,
feeling to feel,
are you speaking to speak,
or speaking to be heard?
I am speaking to myself
for myself
by myself
with myself
to better understand what secrets my conscious knows about me.
Life last only
a short time

So few love
Can ever be shared

So few words
Can ever be said

It is not an illusion
my reason why ,
I bleed poetry

To make my life magic
Before I fade away
Let my pain now die
Grant me one wish
I ask of thee
The gift of poetry
To keep me alive!
