Ysabel
Don't you dare to desert a poet,
Her words will haunt you down.
Don't you dare to hurt a poet,
Her words will stab you 'til you're gone.
Don't you dare to change a poet,
Her words will just echo around.
Just don't dare to date a poet,
If you don't mean to keep her in your arms.
Your eyes were sad but you held on
And that's  how you ended your last kiss
As You bravely walked away from the woman that cut your skin with sharp kisses.
It’s that time of the year,
To sit down, and to reflect.
I’m doing what I can,
But the pieces won’t connect.

Thoughts that were in my head,
Left alone for much too long.
Unwritten, unexpressed,
They rotted before I can write this song.

I should have written them down,
Captured those precious moments.
Because I can no longer feel them,
As though they faded in seconds.

How can I make reflections,
When I don’t know what occurred?
When I don’t know how I felt,
When my memories are blurred?

I want to relive those moments,
Retake the year’s journey.
To put together the lost pieces.
Lest they be left behind, those memories.

I cannot think straight
Life is a muddy blur
Nothing makes sense
I just sit here
Cannot process
Try to focus
Find a purpose
A direction to take.

My heart is hurting
Broken into a million pieces
Not sure if its worth it anymore
How do I do cope without you?

I do not want to continue alone.

You were my favourite shade of blue to drown in.
First try at ten words. Hope this is passable.

it was that time when you left me
where the moon and the stars
were the only ones
who comforted me
on that cold and dark night

who listened to my stories
and heard all my woes
as i walked down the road
where it all started

i went to bed
and tried to weep
the pain away
yet the sun
hasn't risen
since
