RE: "writer's block" chosen as the daily poem.

I am absolutely speechless right now.
This is so incredible.
I honestly have no words to describe how flattered and honored I am by all your kind words about my writing.
I have never been all that confident of a writer, but posting on this site and seeing all the beautiful things people have to say about my works has  helped me gain confidence.
I will never be able to thank you all enough, and I will never be able to adequately express my love for this tiny community of writers.
I wrote "writer's block" because I had just that -- writer's block. I wanted to post something, but I was lacking ideas, and then all of a sudden, the idea for that poem came to me. I never expected it to receive this much love and praise, or be named the daily poem.
I know that I may be making a big deal out of something so small, but this means so much to me.
For me, this is about much more than one short poem. It's about my life as a writer; it's about finding acceptance in a group of like-minded people.
I have never felt so at home anywhere else as I have felt in the Hello Poetry community, and I just...

Wow.
I leave you with that.
One "wow." That's all I have to say.

Thank you all so so so so much, and never stop writing.

Dearly,

Untold Story
That could be summed up in 1 word,
That would never be heard.
No one knows me,
So you may as well flee.

See, I'm a shell that can't be cracked,
A cage that cant be hacked.
I'm a mill without wind,
And many times i've sinned.

If you get to close,
I will haunt your ******* dreams.
At most,
Stay away so you won't hear my screams...
My first attempt at a rhyming poem...what did you guys think?
..
~

hundreds of thousands of words,
we told through our whole life

tens of thousands of sentences,
you wrote in your novel

thousands of dreams,
we dreamed through our passing dark nights

millions of images,
we left in our moving past times

but my friend
at the end,
I carry

only a few images of withered petals
except all those nightmares
yet I can feel a few dreams of yours, repeatedly

even I can recall a few words of yours
that grew the motion of life
maybe you can feel a few words of mine

As  the words that can make a wonderful  lyric
"I love you, that holds an eternal truth"
yet that shining as a crystal of diamond
..

she was a poet,
and he was her pen.
in him,
she always found words to write,
songs to sing,
thoughts to think.

he'd smile,
and kiss her softly,
and say,
"write me a poem."

and she would.
she'd put poe,
and whitman,
and shakespeare to shame,
and she'd write a poem that made his eyes water.

she'd compare him
to a rose with no thorns,
a book with no end,
a world with no poverty --
the things we all wish for,
but can never attain.

//

he asked her one day,
"what am i?"
and so she picked up her pen,
and began the usual:
you are the shining sun after a hurricane,
with rays that open the eyes of the blind.

but he stopped her after those two lines,
and said that this time,
he didn't want any metaphors,
or similes,
or analogies.
he wanted the truth.

and so on that night,
as he slept,
the poet picked up her pen,
and she wrote.

she wrote,
then thought better of it,
then started over again,
and this cycle continued well into the early hours of the morning,
until suddenly,
she wrote, frantic,
if i can't love you for what you really are,
have i ever really loved you at all?

this, too,
she thought better of,
condemning it to the trash.

the next morning the poet was gone,
her final work a mere two words:

i'm sorry.

(a.m.)
this is more of a story than a poem but i like how it came out so leave thoughts & comments please
It's in his shadow we plead
Under his wrath we bleed
His destruction leaks hate into the weak
Leaving the unsubstantial reaping his critique
His actions scorned through years of neglect
It's in his perception only, that we become wrecked
Why do we follow knowing wrong from right
Pushing those we love away from the light
His power is without doubt equal to the greats
Although derived from stray minded it opens the gates
The gates into the souls of those who are tattered
Turning old memories to ones now shattered
Although through it all, we have nothing to fear
For he is nothing more than a broken mirror
It just takes practice to realize his weakness
All his power is nothing to the strong but bleakness
It's in his own prison he will rot
Although it's up to us to become the Juggernaut

I try my best,
To make sure your not like the rest.
That you won't break my heart,
And make me feel as if I am not smart.
I can't help but feel,
That you are about to steal,
My heart.

Pretty flowers,
Beautiful bows,
Heartwarming compliments,
And good morning texts.

I just don't get it,
What makes you different?
I am your princess,
As you say.
But who knows how long that will last.

Maybe I am crazy,
Or maybe I am just somewhat lazy.
Maybe you actually care,
That we actually might make a good pair.

I guess I have to wait,
And go on the date.
About to go on a date....
I still can't believe I accepted!

Not all youth have the privilege of being young
Life has a way of making us old and high strung
We may not notice it the first few days or years
But all those times life made your eyes rain tears

It made you age a little bit faster than the norm
It created a havoc inside of you that became a storm
And they say that in order for the rainbow appear
You have to sit and wait for the rain to disappear

But the waiting is maybe the hardest thing you'll do
The constant wondering when will it all be through?
