I might as well be yelling, shouting, screaming at the rate this is going
Cursing the very ground you walk on
I could hand you my heart in a velvet box
and you would look at it as you would a keychain from Las Vegas

I might as well be laughing
Is there any more to do in such a situation?
Shoving your head against a wall will make you feel something, but the wall isn't going to budge

I might as well be sleeping, or trying
It would be so much more productive than lying here,
surrounded by all these bags of unanswered questions and imaginary conversations

In fact
I might as well be silent
Because no matter how heavy my restrained love may get to carry, or how paper thin my walls become around you,
no matter how desperately I hold your gaze or how genuinely you caress me in my dreams
You still refuse to take a fair risk
or give a fair chance

You make me smile
You make me laugh
You make me cry
You make me sad
You make me feel elation
You make me feel pretty
You make me feel worthy
You make me mad
You make me boil
But five minutes later
You make me happy
And I'm kissing your precious face
That's how I know
It's true love

So you have a boyfriend..?
I never thought you would.
To be honest I always wished
to be your boyfriend if I could.

You post love letters on his page...
That caught me off guard.
"You're my love," you would say,
"I'm falling for you hard."

Well, congratulations on your boyfriend
but let me point out
that I'm more than jealous
without a doubt.

I've always liked you
and you've always known
Don't think I've changed
just because I've grown.

A poet once said,
8 letters could change the world
They say how I feel
if my heart you never heard.

Yes, believe it or not,
I adore you; I do
Whether you're in love with a million
I will always love you.

I like your laugh
and I've it stated before
I like your smile
and your tear when you're sore.

I like it how you always
know what to say
I like it how we chat
every single day.

You complete me
no, you're another me
When I'm talking with you
I couldn't hide my glee.

So enjoy that boyfriend of yours.
Your love, I hope, would grow
I told you how I feel
and now I don't really know.

It's your choice how to complete.
You could love him and let me fly.
But never say we could just be friends,
'cause that would be a big fat lie.

So you have a boyfriend..?
Well, good for you.
But when you're left heartbroken,
I'll be waiting too.
This poem is dedicated to the one and only love of mine. If you read this, Z, I want to know your opinion ASAP.

I smile so wide and ask her about
her boyfriend, how he's doing,
how he's treating her...
She smiles back and says
that they love each other.

Don't get me wrong,
I'm happy for her, really.
It's just that it's so weird
to refer to you now as someone's
boyfriend when you used to be
the reason I was breathing.

Let’s go to the docks where the wooden boats rest
With fine-aged grooves that wrinkle their flesh
A quiet and hollow creek to their breath
And in we’ll step

We’ll bring your fishing rods and hooks
Some bait for the fish and I’ll bring some books
Then we’ll paddle on down the river
Just you and I

Let’s row to a place where the water is fresh
In that old wooden boat with grooves in its flesh
A quiet and hollow creak to its breath
And wait for a catch

And while we wait with the water and woods
Once we’ve cast the lines, I’ll read you the books
To see your smile shine across the river
And to the sky

I don't know
If I liked you
Or
If I was just lonely.

What I fear,
Is that I can't feel the difference.
