 Nov 2014 A Sickening Love
oni
you were so
beautiful
that i compared you
to a flower

but i forgot
that flowers withered
until the day
that you died
i want a new name
a new birth
a new childhood
a new poison
a new addiction
a new lust
a new love
a new confusion
a new heartbreak
a new hatred
a new suicide
i want a new name
I don't remember how to write poems anymore.
This is a ******* list.
I hate my name, I want a new one.
And George has decided to be particularly cruel tonight.

You.

I like you.

I like you so much as a matter of fact,

that I want to hold you close to everything that is dear to me.

**My heart, my soul and my insanity.
The revolution in his chest was sleeping the day she showed up

By the time this revolution marched, she was no where to be found.

We tell this story of heartbreaks and loneliness

Without realizing it is our job to ignite the revolution

No longer will we depend upon someone else's spark plug
Today will only ever happen once

For these moments will soon become history

Dates lost behind us

A record of moments

Strung together in a book

Stay present while you write your book

And write history today
They stare at you.
They judge you.
They talk about you.
They hurt you.

Why?

Because they're "jealous"
Because they're "abused"
Because they're "hurting"
Because they're mean.

You cry at night,
You want to fight.
But you're scared,
You hate fear.

Your parents ignore you,
Sometimes THEY bully you.
Your siblings laugh at you,
They usually pick on you.

What do you do about this?
Nothing.
You have a home
Where people stay
I have a house
Where people leave

You have a home
That's safe to crash
I have a house
With too much crashing

You have a home
And a family
I have a house
And nightmares

You have a home
Filled with support and love
I have a house
**Where love has never lived
Remember how I never wanted to go "home"?
...How could you have ever left yours?
Thank you for sharing your opinion
On something I didn't ask about

Thank you for generalizing groups
That aren't as like minded as you claim

Thank you for discriminating against views
That don't agree with your own
Thank you for acting like the dictating monster
Everyone expects me to be.

So I'm a Christian and we have a bad rep for not being tolerant, but I have a professor who claims to be 'tolerant,' but so isn't -- especially if you're Christian. I just think it's hysterical because I'm not the shove-my-views-down-your-throat type, and he completely is. Practice what you preach, please.
And so concludes my note-rant. I seem to be ranting a lot lately. Sorry.
