Love

I learned that love was sarcastic and love yelled when love wanted to.
I learned that love wasn't always happy but it was always beautiful.
I learned that the way love screamed your name at the top of its lungs and the way love laughed at your jokes even when they weren't funny that love really loved you.
I learned that love can come in many different forms, love can be peaceful, love can be hectic, but nobody can define love because it's never the same no matter where you go.
I learned that love doesn't always last and when love leaves love doesn't have mercy on your heart, love drags a blade across your chest and leaves you to drown in it.

because hugging you meant feeling every sting of your actions and hugging you meant facing that it wasn't just me and hugging you meant hugging myself and I've been trying to get away from who I am for so long.
and I swear talking to you is like talking to a wandering kitten, pointless but nice for a minute.
they say give her love and she's sure to come back, but God knows those eyes were not meant to stay in one place and God knows there are better arms out their for her to escape in, for her to finally feel at home in.
I am not a safety net, im where you go when you wanna be broken, when you wanna feel something, and people like me don't ever get to be the one you get lost in for more than the night.

They say that the magnificence of the planets, the stars and the galaxies
cannot be seen by the naked eye.
But when my eyes met yours, your hands touched mine -
my sight, my senses, were amplified
like the floating Hubble in space -
I begged to differ.

It's all in you,
the galaxies, millions even billions of them, are in no comparison
with you.
wrote this during a very boring class, and ended up thinking of you //

Since you took me to the ocean before,
Maybe this is one metaphor you might get.

Your words were like broken pieces of seashells.
They left cuts all over me.
And you are salt water,
You kept coming back,
To burn my wounds,
One tide after another,
One wave after another.
Periodic, unstoppable, predictable.
Like a natural phenomenon,
You can't seem to stop once you've started.
You had to make sure,
You've done enough destruction,
Before you would leave.

I can, however, walk away from the beach.
I can even leave the seashells behind.
I don't need them anyway.

I used to love oceans.
A little more before it started to hurt me.
He loves me,
He loves me not...

She did not speak of it,

And yet,

Clueless with confusion,
Clearly, it was only an illusion,
...Or so they said,

Everyone just stood there and began to stare,
And just beyond their wonders,
From there,
Right there,
There was but a girl,
With her,
Lifeless face,
As her long, light-brown hair covered her place,
And not knowing if she was really there,
She followed my trace,

He loves me,
He loves me not,

Looking up,
I could only hear the whispers,
No matter if she spoke,
She was a passing of ways, but,
How could her voice come across from where I stay?

But that soft, gentle voice,
It became clear as it,
Ran through my ear,
As if there was nothing,
Nothing left to hear,
But the sweet, silent tone,
That ran through one,
And stayed in the other,
I knew she was there,

He loves me,
He loves me not

She would never shout,
She couldn't,
She wouldn't,
She only whispered,
The knowledge and the struggle,
With her words of complexity,
From the inside out,

But the truth lied within the fire,
And that fire never died,

As a part of her dexterity,
Her hands moved,
As the paper reached for the tip of the pen,
Her words then became as smooth as waves,
For those waves reached for her feet,
And the cycle repeats,

He loves me,
He loves me not...

bcg poetry
When I was younger I asked my brother to tell me why people didn't just sit around and imagine if they could get everything they wanted in their mind. He laughed softly and slowly said that there's a whole world out there that we can't even imagine in our head.

And I went through life like others, doing normal things. Until I found the other world that completely changed me. I found continents in a smile. I navigated seas in a glance. I discovered life in a touch and love in a laugh. The other world is holding hands in secret. The other world is calling late at night. The other world is you and I never want to go back.

and if you are still the way you have always been, you're the lucky ones because most of us have taken ourselves apart down to the very molecules we are made up of and rearranged them to someone else's liking

and if you are still happy then you're the lucky ones, because most of us are so depressed we are willing to lather our stomachs in alcohol and burn our throats with smoke for fun, or to forget that person who made us feel like we were sitting in a haystack of needles, stabbing and wounding every inch of our skin

and if you still strive for your highest hopes and dreams, then you're the luckiest ones, because most of us settle for less, and only climb the ladder until we think we have reached the top

and if you're in love, you really are the luckiest of all, because we are all mostly bitter over those we have lost, thinking we are unable to find someone that will bring us the same happiness that the other person used to bring

You're not scared of the dark;
You're scared of what's in it.
You're not afraid of heights;
You're afraid of falling.
You're not afraid of the people around you;
You're just afraid of rejection.
You're not afraid to love;
You're just afraid of not being loved back.
You're not afraid to let go;
You're just afraid to accept the reality that she's gone.
You're not afraid to try again;
You're just afraid of getting hurt for the same reason.

Can you hear my silence?
Can you see the dark?
Can you fix the broken?
Can you feel my heart?
When life knocks you down...calmly get back up...,
smile..., and very politely say...,
"You hit like a *****."
