Don’t tell me my experiences aren’t real
just because they don’t reflect what you feel
~much love

Last night's sombre sky was hiding the moon in the corner of an ever-longing eye,
Mysteries were fooled by honesty's mask,
This also happened by day, it was not just night's task.

Oh sovereign sky, you are more generous tonight,
Ostentatious and proud, you adorn my mind's walls,
Pouring me a cup of darkness delight, pain bows its head and sorrow stalls.

My eyes are too full, they are open and flooding,
Thank you, oh night and your sky's freckled face,
Your reminder of life has heads bowed and legs running, but I am here and in my place.

We poets were a sensitive lot
in a world that shat on us
although we fought.
We are who we are, and the world is...

A candle can only stand so long against the never ending dark.
It flickers and wanes as it struggles to leave its mark.
This game will always be won by the never ending dark.
A simple allegorical poem about depression.

I'd have to go out to find words,
I've used the ones I had at home.
Writer's block during a pandemic.

Why cant life just take a break
I need time to think
Before I do something stupid

All the praises
    Sweet sugary words

To unearth the truth

When pain
hurts no longer
when wounds
don't matter

when the heart
has fallen over
when love departs
in rancour

when the flower
has lost its lustre
when time looks away
and the day is devoid of laughter

still no tears would I shed
nor would my spirit ever falter
the stoic that I am is unfazed
broken pieces I need not put together.
