toss away the memory of me in a disheveled mess of cleanliness—

like a lost treasure, bury me in your bedside drawer.

No one will know that I once stood here
Lets be clear...

I was never at home with you.

So when you feel frantic and lost and you’re searching for the things that help you disassociate, instead of finding that thing or two, you’ll find me, staring back at you.

me
if i unwrapped
your heart
peeled off its thick coating
brushed away the decay that haunts
your mind when you close your hazel eyes
what would i see
when i looked
inside?

No
No poetry today.
No words for the despair.
No calming the fears.
No poetry today.

Say something for once
Please don’t leave me here to guess
If I mean that much

Set the fig leaves on delicate
Make sure to add softener
Before the spin cycle
Then hang them to dry
While waiting
Might as well find
A Good Book to read

What if all our heaviness
Our pain
Our tiredness
Our chaos
Our separation
Simply is here,
because we cannot see
our need to surrender
to our truth
to our wounds
to our brokenness
to our separateness,
To our freedom within....
So often I look outside myself for connection, for healing, for my needs, for love; only to discover the separateness is within me. And when I see this, I can surrender, let go and heal.

we need
to be
careful,
when it's me
and you,
it's infinity
and beyond,
and we want
to settle
here,
in each others''
arms.

I always thought we were the perfect match.
But matches are meant
                                   to ignite
                                         and burn out.
