My spirit yearns to
Leave this godforsaken
City for good

To build a couzy chalet
Hidden somewhere
Amidst the alps

And to watch the
Seasons change while
Playing guitar on the porch
With my dogs at my feet

So why does a quiet life
Keeps getting away from me?
Maybe it's just not meant to be...

I could've just laid down if
I wanted to

ignoring the bells that echoes
inside my head

Let the earth swallow me
among withered leaves that decay
beside me

Let the world dry out
as if all lamented things
belong to me

I could act as if
my heart is an icy winter water,
never to beat, never to warm at all

Granite skies would drift above me,
haunting me in my night and
summer days

But in the thunder that frightens me
A swift lightning would pass me by,
a crack of gold in my darkest night

The flood crashing through doors,
through all the breathe that I've lost
I would learn to hold every air that I touch

All the celestial mass throbbing in my chest
The distant rumble of supernovas
that tears me apart,
and black sunshine that shines on my face

Even if midnight splatters beneath my eyes,
with all the stars that glimmer
that badly wants to fall

Even if half of my shadow is blown to nether
I would suffer everyday, and in my pain
I knew I could feel

I would die everyday, with all lamented things
and in all my deaths

I have learned to live
to lie on the warm sand at twilight
ripples of fleeting light
across a calm sea.
Waves caress my feet,
ever so gently,
wind murmurs words of love
to me,
the sun kisses my soul
so warmly.

Within this ocean of affection,
my thoughts tremble,
but my heart yearns
to drown deep,
lost in the ebb.
Love yourself~~~~~
(even when life’s a mess, even when you feel unworthy, even when clouds of doubts and fears surround you)

Imagine creating a masterpiece happily, only to hear someone call it ugly and unworthy.
Yeah.... and that's how God and our parents feel when we talk down on ourselves
I had a soft dream,
We were lying in the grass,
Staring at the moon.
Like Harry Potter, the sorting hat (my mom)
has placed me in a ******, crimson colored school.
It’s disorienting, as I go about, the logos are wack.

Poor little rich girl
no beachside lovers
this interminable, scorching summer.

I’m swept up by scholastic spirit.
Can you hear it? Cause it’s deafening me,
on this cool, dry, Boston orientation day.

As we finished our morning 8k jog,
the sunrise blossomed, painting hot lava clouds
with hues of yellow, orange and pink.

We’re traipsing unfamiliar paths,
it’s not what we’re used to, the roads are uneven
and the architecture’s all boxy and wrong.

BLT Merriam Webster word of the day challenge 05/27/25:
Interminable: something that seemingly has no end
Soon I’ll be home;
time will move again.
My heart will thaw,
Beating outside the frost.

Preserving its warmth,
I carefully packed its pulse—

Kept in frozen brief moments:
Three a.m., laughing in the stairwell
Floor-dusting kitchen dancing,
Long gates and airport goodbyes,
The tightest hug I ever had—

Soon I’ll be home;
I will breathe again.
My heart will thaw,
beating outside the frost.

Summer is a promise—
Ice is melting;
with every tick
of the passing clock
Time to have some fun
12 years of school now done
Snooze you lose, time choose
Workforce calls each must decide
Slave to job paycheck career

(Ok perhaps I’m jaded)
Welcome to the rat race
I would not want to be young today
Nobody wants to work
They want everything for free
Moral values are gone
After 12 years of school,
what skills do they have
United States have children
who graduate
without knowing how to read
As a nation
Our test scores are shameful
