Those times I would write poems and submit for publications, they were all rejected, but now i have found my thing  And I am living a Superstar lifestyle , my name buzzing everywhere. Poems that have been rejected are the ones now trending

Thank you HP family for making me a better poet. Many love to you all. To all who comment, love, like my poems you are the real Superstars

Days run so fast.
Just yesterday,l was 10
And today ,l'm 15
And tomorrow, l will be 20
And maybe 40.
Hope l make it to 100
And tell stories to my grand
kids
About the walls l had to break
to survive
Some to make them smile
Others will be sad ones
And maybe they will cry
But in the end,each struggle
will be worth it.

I didn't give up and I never will give up,
Life has been throwing stones at me all my life,
Them stones don't do nothing but bounce off me,
The tests we are faced either make us or break us,
Choice your own fate,
Don't allow anyone else to choose your fate,
The struggles will always be there,
You can overcome the struggle,
You can weather the storm,
Make sure you bring your umbrella.

First it starts to sprinkle,
Then it begins to drizzle,
Shortly after it begins to rain,
After that it begins to storm,
There's nothing that can stop this storm except you.
THE ONLY PERSON WHO CAN WEATHER THE STORM IS YOU.

Ask it.

And mirror marked
Of grime, and dirt

Lines, white
Razor perfect

Eyes that haunt
My own

Approaches
A simple device
Of a vice

Choices

I find myself
This familiarity
Strings to hands
Leading feet

Want, need
To not
And no longer
Be that one

This used to numb
Thoughts are
Are not

The intentions
Put to sound
Shaky tired voice

Help me

Breathe it in
While facing
His gaze is
I
Am

Sorry

Again

what you see is not always what you get,
like a tiger scared by a house cat.
we sometimes forget
that appearances can be deceiving
just like we’re trained to master the act of concealing
the emotions that don’t serve our audience
in a zoo they all want
to see a tiger at its finest performance
no one knows the struggles of the tiger
since no eye sees behind the curtain where life seems to be a little harsher.
social media is not the real life.

Happiness seems to be a drug we all trying to have
If we overdose on that
I guarantee you we gon find world peace
But instead we embrace what keeps us depressed
Hatred passing through our veins
Going straight for our hearts
No matter why we find comfort in being apart

In the crowd, I feel alone.
The eyes looking at me -
They pierce through to my bone.
In them looks, I see their raw thoughts.

In the crowd, I feel alone.
The hands that reach for me -
No longer do I trust. For every time
I reached out, they were but a mere mirage.

In the crowd, I feel alone.
The words they say -
Their praises bounce off like raindrops on a gamp
Yet their criticisms - they stink me like a bee.

In the crowd, I feel alone.
Each time, a battle of them v/s Me-
I feel their weapons; I feel my adrenaline rush
Yet I am the only one on the battle field.
The battle rages on somewhere within me.

Pictures of you and me
Smiling falsely into silicon and sand
Two empty containers can be
Hopelessly contented and blaringly bland

The big eye caught us straight
And lied to those who see
Time for us may labor and wait
But autumn may never be

The link between us is growing
The fissure enlarges too
Words and feelings glowing
Concern for me and you

Future may cease my heart-sweat
Graves may close my pains
For now it’s truly a sure-bet
