One day my daughter will ask me why,
Her gaze will pierce like the evening sky.
"Why don't you believe in God, my dear?"
I’ll answer softly, voice tinged with fear.

"There was a time when faith held me tight,
Its whispers soothed through the longest night.
But wounds I bore were too deep to hide,
And doubts grew strong as the pain inside."

"Perhaps, one day, His grace will descend,
To heal the cracks no soul could amend.
For now, I tread where the shadows cling,
Hoping for dawn that new light might bring."

"Each heart must walk through its trial alone,
A fragile rhythm, a muted tone.
Some rise with strength, while others will fall,
Yet none escapes their own curtain call."

"Christ taught of love, a warm, endless stream,
A truth that glows like a vivid dream.
If hunger strikes, give bread to the lost,
And love without counting the painful cost."

"Beware of those who twist sacred words,
Who wound with tongues as sharp as swords.
Let kindness guide, like a steady flame,
Not bitter blame or a hollow name."

"And so, my child, wherever you go,
My heart will follow, its light will show.
Through storm or calm, I’ll steady your way,
Cheering the paths you choose every day."

"It's fine to fear, but learn this at last:
Monsters will fade, their shadows recast.
Keep faith alive, a lantern to guide,
And love will stand as your truest tide."

As for me, I wander rough terrain,
Each step a balance of hope and pain.
But every scar holds a hidden glow,
And whispers paths where the soul can grow.
This poem is an exploration of my inner thoughts and feelings about faith, honesty, and the journey of self-discovery. It reflects the complexities of navigating my personal beliefs while imparting wisdom and love to my daughter. I hope it resonates with you and sparks some thoughtful reflections.

Days become more like
Sunny-cloudy days.
You come to a sense of awareness
Of everything around.
The way you feel
The way you think
You have finally reach your own headspace.
Sitting in silence allowing your mind to run
Across the field of where you truly want to be
Focusing on what things are instead of for what
Things could be... not everything is what is seems.
Happiness isn’t a destination it’s a journey.
When you learn to let go of things that do not serve
you, you create space for abundance. Allowing
Everything to flow in it’s most natural state.
Still going through a couple of
Obstacles that will cause interference,
we must learn to overcome these
challenges, to let go of the U
You Used to be and become stronger
as we grow.
Sit back and relax let peace
Wash over your back
Feel the presence of this moment
And let it just be that.

It happens
Feeling yourself growing distant
from who you are day by day
losing interest in the things
you love.
Allowing your blanket to
swallows you whole disappearing
I just into the darkness of a growing pain.
Questioning who you really are and what this is
not knowing for how long it’s been,
You’ve been looking for the moments
where you once felt bliss but, your
Memory cease to exist.
Losing focus on the prize
blaming others for your pride
consistently wanting to cry,
feeling as if you’re outside of yourself
floating in a world you were once apart of.
Numbness starts to kick in
not having control of anything anymore,
highs and lows hit intensely then
ever before.
All you want to do is hide these feelings
hoping for it to go away
You could build up walls that
will temporarily stay but,
it’s just like a band-aid that can’t
cure the pain.
So hold on tight to this emotional roller coaster
we have a lot of growth to gain
Only god know how long it will take for
Us to recover from this
Growing pain.

I wear a lot of hats,
Sometimes too many.

I have hats that don’t fit me anymore,
And sometimes it’s hard to stop wearing them.
But your new hats are smarter,
And you should wear them with confidence,

They’re grown up hats
And you wear them well!
But hang on to some silly hats,
Because you can never underestimate the power of silliness

Always keep a few hats with you.
A warm one to comfort you,
Or just to keep you warm -
Or protect you from an incoming storm.

If you forget it (or it is warm)
Then don an invisible hat,
They are free, and on some occasions,
More effective than the real thing.
This is due to their mystical nature

Wear your wizard hat at work,
Everyone at work is in awe of the wizard
Work is for wizards!

On some occasions it can be safe to approach without a hat
This is a suitable situation in certain family members. And good friends

I see you have been wearing your naughty hat quite regularly and
Naughtiness, like silliness is good,
But must be prescribed in small doses!
Grant was a hands on engineer of social change, a big man with a bigger heart, (the giant in the beanie hat) sadly he passed into spirit last year, this is one of his poems.
