He was standing there
Gazing at her
Captivated as though
He was watching a wonder...❤️

Her hair spread fragrance
Her eyes spelled magic...
She was a miracle
That defied every logic...❤️

He couldn't help but wonder
The beauty she held
Was it for real
Or some charms spelled....❤️
If magic exists...it exists in her!

Polly had a delicate situation
Was zinged by a witch last spring
Which engendered a condition which did cling:
On Tuesdays she was a girl
Who liked scented candles and flowers
And stickers of dragons with magical powers
On Mondays and Wednesdays she was a boy
Who loved dirt bike racing & spicy bok-choy
Thursdays she was a socialist vegan
Fridays a long armed gibbon
And on Saturdays she became, to the chagrin & horror
Of her pets and paramour
A Tea Parti colored Republican!

We cast protective spells like a sweet song,
keep a bag of stones and herbs above our beds;
I bathe opal in moonlight all night long,
to keep myself at peace and rest my head.
On the Sabbats, we call to Mother Earth,
guardians of the North, South, East, and West;
give the ash and water back to the earth,
these rituals, from mother I learned best.
Burn sage incense to keep evil at bay,
and it helps my anxiety lessen;
We call on the Triple Goddess to pray,
from Book of Shadows I learn my lesson:
*No matter how your tattered heart may ache,
Never throw your love spells into the lake.
written for my poetry class, we had to write either a sestina, a sonnet, or a villanelle.

He hands her bouquets
She swats each away to see
Guns firing petals

She cannot recant
The burn of spells cast daily
Ring ‘round the roses

And we all fall down
Iron-hued blood that stained
Empty bellies rouge

It bled everywhere
Darkened slick of sick roses
She won’t let him cry

Flowers from his eyes
Or hanging paper dollies
Says that it’s okay

Says that it’s okay
She can’t spill bone-dry flowers
To drown in the Nile

She swats each bouquet
Why won’t she just let him care?
He’s swatted away

Held captive in hell by memories of thee,
And every deceit that has befallen me.
I’ll break these chains like damaged bone;
Fractured clean and broken free
Like a corpse flung from the throne,
Cast aside cold and alone.
With this blood from boiling vein,
Your pain I seek in echoed refrain.
I elicit the shadows in ravenous streams;
The unhinged ire of fallen dark dreams!
My abhorred soldiers shall win my new throne
Whilst I extract my new crown and twist swollen bone!
For every torment that has befallen me
Will be ****** upon thee, times three!
With nasty chains formed from the bone,
I’ll restrain haughty might no reparation can atone!
This chanted bane is most fitting for thee,
As your pain will fill me with sadistic glee!
So mote it be!

Did you know that there is a world out there,
full of evil, jealousy and sin?

Were you aware that you may be sitting there,
innocently, not harming a soul in the world,
and someone, somewhere, will be wishing the worst for you.

Making spells, sending evil, cursing your very soul,
The person you may think is your closest friend,
Could be your biggest threat.
Wishing the worst for you -
hoping you were dead.

What ever happen to respect and be respected,
Love and be loved in return.
I was once a big believer in these things,
and then I was burnt.

Friendships lost, hearts broken - trust lost.
Now I walk a lonely road,
Trusting no-one,
Understanding nothing.

Not everything is what is seems.

Magic spells
Casting enchantments
Only time tells
If wishes come true

Voodoo hexes
To destroy
What wrecks us
Try the witches brew

Magic genie
Grants three wishes
Do you see
They're all for you

Pixie dust
For extra luck
Because I must
Start anew

Magic wand
Spell book bindings
I'm quite fond
Of loving you

Your drink I mix
Love potion
For a quick fix
To make your heart true

After all the spells
Enchantments
Hexes
Potions
And brews
It seems now
You love me too.
