She took a hesitant first step
Closer to bay.
Sand crunched under her toes,
And cold slapped her ankles,
As a wave broke upon the shore.
Receding waters,
Left her tilting like creaking post,
Overburdened with laundry.
Surprised, she jumped backwards
Retreating to the sane solid ground.
But sanity lost,
To the wild, tempestuous sea.

As I stand upon the shore,

Peering into the waves of what came before;

Reflecting upon times of pleasure and revelry

Just as the tides leave awash priceless treasures and memories

Some are swept away into the seas of eternity

The ocean before me, the only certainty

Into sand the water seeps

Like tears for loved ones lost we forever weep

Each day another tally etched upon our flesh

Each one bringing us closer to the day of our final rest

Adding yet another plank upon our rickety raft

Born within a body that was not meant to last

The final plank in place ready to head out into the great unknown

For our sins we must be prepared to atone

For on this journey they will be our only companion

Yet blocking our way is our soul’s Champion

His body and soul bruised, cut and bleeding with every one of our past mistakes

My flesh renewed, is that all it takes?

To the hand of the Son of Grace we grasp

As He reaches to the Father of Truth and Love that will forever last

do i get points for wearing makeup,
or taking it off? i don't want to be
just another cookie cutter taking up
space on the shores of lake cresva.

There stands a figure by the shore
In this world like none before
Seas and clouds of misty gray
Reveal themselves to those who stay
For if I were to follow you
Birds would sing of my doom, too
Inspired by Caspar Friedrich's painting of the same name

even today
I can't tell if the ocean
is raging war
on the shore,

or  every wave
is a desperate attempt
to get back to his lover.

Someday I hope to write something that will grow wings within your heart and let it soar high above all that weighs up your mind . I hope my words allow your soul to sing louder than the noise that clutters your abilities , and you release your magic light upon the darken world of all , whom walk seeing ,yet are blind.  I hope that my words are your life jacket as the current of life grips you ,and you swim ashore to those awaiting for your return . I hope when I’m gone from this life , my words are still used to guide you into a beautiful sunset at the end of the day. To know my simple words , allowed you to dance with tears , either of sadness or happiness, That’s what I wish of my written words .

I just want my writings to touch others but not sure they do. I want to leave something behind when I’m gone so I’m not a nobody in death as I was in life .

I would be but a lone piece of wood
floating in an ocean of loneliness.

                           Never gathering on a shore.

But static in an ocean of
                          tides carrying me nowhere.

We may float, but drown slowly in our silence.
