I saw her again today
Blankly staring ahead.
Hair blowing,
Roots showing,
Her eyes glazed, a puzzle of red.

I wonder what thoughts run
Behind that glassy look.
Try to guess,
With no success,
Judge her cover to know her book.

Is she musing about love
Warm home that travels with him.
Gushing thoughts,
Of happy sorts,
Eyes red thank life full to the brim.

Is she mourning a loss
Of freedom, hope or more.
Twisted fate,
Brings unasked date,
Eyes red farewell her dreams in store.

Is she running through task list
New box added on refresh.
One more tick,
Oh so slick,
Eyes red betray unrested flesh.

Is she setting out in search
Of new life, new mind, new soul.
Endless hunt,
Brave new stunt,
Eyes red find lost piece from her whole.

I take one last look at her
Into my mirror on bathroom shelf.
My red eyes,
Full of lies,
I am a stranger to my self.

Saturday night – date night.
Trace the cracks in my palm,
What do they tell you?
How long is my lifeline?
[deepen my smile lines]

Truth or Dare
How much do you trust me?
Try to be unique and beautiful –
What makes me more than human?
everyone looks for the same thing
in a different color
[truth traps with easy intimacy]

If I kept a book of my answers
To questions
I could build myself with words
[first, i have to decide how to answer]

I'll pick me up at six oh eight
For a date
[with myself]

Once there was a boy who was made of flowers
He had the prettiest smile and the happiest grin
One day he asked, "what are you made of?"
I shook my head, I do not understand

"You're different", he said
I would reply that I am not
His grin suddenly turned grim
He pointed at my heart, "You are"

He showed me his heart, you see
His paper thin heart
But as strong as the titanium
In the core of his backbone

At that point I still do not understand

Different

I clutched my heart
To see it ****** and such a mess
As frail as paper cranes
A thousand of these could not grant a wish

I saw a girl in the horizon
She's made from shards of glass
Brittle and fragile yet sharp
Lips painted red, Armed with knives

She said to me,"who are you?"
I replied,"I am my self"
She stared at me for a long time
"Who are you?"

My skin are steel
Yet my core had been ripped apart so many times
Until it feel as if each stitches were one
At this point i still do not understand

The girl sighed
Skipping stones and breaking bones
What a way to spend eternity
She grinned her razor sharp teeth

I still do not understand even at this point

There is a hill there, she pointed at the distance
Once there live a giant and a dwarf
The dwarf and the giant fought each other
Until what is left is...

At that point she gazed at the distance again

It does not have an end, that tale...

She asked me to dance, then
Took my hand gently, twirling me with out an end
I gaze at her eyes
The abyss are staring back at me

At this point I understand what they meant.

In the distance, I could see a shade of what once meant to be brilliant
Like a star who decide to fall down
Bringing apocalypse as its last performance

At this point i understood

At the end of this journey, I saw someone
Who shouted with all their might
"Why is the sky still blue?
Even if we're dead inside"

What I Feel Sep 2015
I heard him at first, though barely a sound,
But I saw him, I saw me, on sinister ground.

I am the caution and stillness and sniffing the air,
I am the fearing the danger that’s not even there,
I am the ‘watch where you tread’ and the silence and hush,
The always on lookout, the hardest to touch.

I am the quickness and briskness and swiftness and speed,
I am the flash of a tail and a warning to heed,
I am the bounding and leaping and steam in the woods,
The danger apparent, the fear understood.

And I felt myself crying, for as soft as the breeze,
My beautiful deer melted into the trees.

I was watching him stand in the heat and the flies,
And just for a moment, saw myself in his eyes.

I am the force and the fight and the teeth and the fear,
Whose anger’s scared thousands for thousands of years.
I am the killer, the king, my rule undisputed,
Yet somehow I see my whole kind being hunted,

I am the courage to stand and protect what I know –
My pride will get hurt or destroyed if I don’t –
I am the leader to take us all out of the darkness
But when pushed, I am by far, far from harmless.

I wished him to stay, to never move on,
But before I could welcome him in, he was gone.

Upon the sands I stood in vigil,

in my thoughts, in images of her and her song.

Here  i am, locked by land and distance,

unable to swim freely in her waters of calm.

How I wish to be part of her world,

to swim the currents of her soul in ecstasy.

Within thoughts, comes many things,

realizations of hurts, and desires that may not be.

I must depart from these beautiful waters,

know I am alien to this place.

I cannot stay any longer upon just a wish,

unable to be more to what she needs.

I must bear the sadness within me,

to walk away, red eyed, full of tears.

Leave her be, in her world to search,

to find one she deserves ever so.

To be content that she finds happiness,

held by another of where she thrives.

I am just an observer, witness to all she is

experienced bliss like never before.

I know now I leave with an everlasting dream,

an imprint in the sand where i stood.

I can only see from the distance, for the days to come,

to make cast of it and a place to reflect.

I know of what will never be of us,

but will always have to remember, her Siren's Song.

Sometimes a wish is just never granted. However much it hurts  and to have the realization of it, it may be that a better door awaits, or the later pain would've been to much to bear.

My papa wanted a Doctor from his son
But I wasn't one for Biology and Chemistry
Then he told me to try Engineering
But couldn't cope up with Geometry
Then he said I could try literature
But I was one with the opposing nature
Anyway I gave up the trigonometry
And in literature I met prose and poetry
It's a place where pain turns to comfort
Where I have opportunity to dirt every page
Whether I'm at peace or burdened by rage
It's somewhere I can go to evade fear
Or see my future even if it ain't clear
And even though my mood swings are rampant
It is a place where I have all the might to fight
And turn every dark corner of this world alight
My Papa in giving me the world gave me everything
A place for heart beats and mind reminiscing
For this place ain't just my Earth, It's a galaxy with her Sun

Soon, questions will rise like volcano erupts
Tired of the lies of a life called corrupt
Yes, your soul will search earnestly for the truth
Cos all you can steal is the fruit not the root

I may never look like it
As it is a function of what you search for
This truth won’t struggle to fit
It’s a rare one, with a foundation that stands sure

I really wasn’t born this way
I lived my life from what I heard them say
Till the day mercy found me out
Opened my eyes and stopped my scout

Now I live my life straight and focused
My purposed has changed, I’m contented with Jesus
Even the evil of this age works in my favor
I’ll pass the test, my friend is the tutor

And while this world’s darkness covers their identity
It will shine the light of my spirituality
And when they come asking for my source
Requesting my autograph, I’ll give them yours
I’m blessed to live in you, breath in you, and even have my being

I have never been at ease
Endlessly pulled in every direction
Coming to rest nowhere
Nothing soothes the restless, weary heart
but the open sky and the changing winds
New horizons stretched into everlasting
The question of something more
forming in the distance
Some dream undiscovered
Some something else to reach for
I was never meant for stillness
My feet will always find a new path
My home is in the journey

You have allowed man to portion your purpose,
the measure limited by what can be sold;
physical beauty,
frivolous distraction,
for love of life has become love of acceptance

But who would love you that would rob you;
of your dignity,
of your life,
of your soul,
except those who do not know how to love

Remove the fears that make your eyes eager,
to please,
to die,
to give up what it is that you were meant to be

They take what cannot be given,
to you,
by man,
for their own glory,
or else they would

Stand naked if you must,
stand alone if you trust what I'm saying,
and if you cannot,
then I pray that one day the life you should be,
will come,
and what comes undone,
is what they have become

But it is you who must decide what to live up to
