Do something, do nothing
Is what the head goblins say
Say something, don't speak
Is told to me day by day

Make a change, do nothing
Is what the head goblins yell
Write something, write nothing
As they bury me deeper into hell.

Make something, destroy everything
Is what the head goblins request
Walk somewhere, sit somewhere
Ain't they just a pest?

Love her, hate him
Is what the head goblins demand
Talk, speak, riot, reek, isolate, permeate, mediate, violate
The head goblins have me buried in the sand.

My dear miss Able asked me about a hidden place.

A place where words go to find lovers.
A Tinder for f̶o̶r̶e̶p̶l̶a̶y̶  wordplay.

Where "She" swipes right on "Him" to create "Them".

Where "Un" and "Faithful" got together and made "Faithfulun"
Because "Faithful" is also seeing "Dyslexia"

Where my friend "Alone" swept left on "Everybody"
And never changed.

And "In" became "Indecent" when he, infatuated,
Increasingly indulged
Into "Inappropriation" while dating "decent" and then Indiscreetly descended into "Insanity".

Where "Baby" got "Back" after "Laid-Back" split when "Laid"
got "Off".

Miss Able doubted this place even after her first son,
"Question" who took her surname.

But this place does exist-

Where gold is mind inside a poet.

Birds of a feather,
Not unlike me,
Love fine weather
(When it’s pouring tea).
Manners, wine and dining, too.
Mantis, llama, kangaroo.

Overmade, they do make over.
Things so brittle like the rover
Sent to Mars, the Milky Way,
Bounty, sneaky in its way.

Inbetwixt the words they utter,
They choose bread over the butter.
Frying French and grilling Jerry,
Jamming jars of juicy berry.

Duty-bound, they bound off duty.
Flock together! Fly, my beauties!
Plumes all owned. And not one borrowed.
Standing still amidst the horror…

Jokes aside, and folly ousted,
Peace preferred to putrid bloodshed,
They, like me, are hard to find…
Seems, at last, I’ve lost my mind!

I take a pill each morning--
"to keep the madness away,"
declared the doctor,
her tone clinically nonchalant
as she handed to me
a prescription for
small, white tablets
that leave a bitter chalkiness
in your mouth
when you've left them
on your tongue
for too long
before swallowing.

But
there is only so much
modern-day pharmaceuticals
can remedy.

Sometimes,
I can still hear her,
you know--
sweet.
lost.
mad
Alice
scratching at the
tessellated patch-work
of my psyche.

I can still feel her
as my fingertips flit
across the liquor bottle--
"Drink Me,"
it murmurs.

Curiouser
&
curiouser
I become with
every shot.

When the room
starts lurching,
when I am too
dizzy to stand,
I close my eyes only
to find that the world
is still spinning.

Or perhaps
I am just falling.

Yes,

D
   O
       W
            N

the rabbit hole I go.

And, as I plummet,
the phosphenes of colour
behind my eyes
transmute into the most
peculiar images:
a mercury-tainted top hat
encompassing the harlequin
countenance of a man
as crazed as I;
the trundling wings
of a Jabberwock
and the heaving snout
of a Bandersnatch;
a pocket watch,
its face lustrous and
encrusted with Jadestone--
"Time. It's time!"
it chimes.

"Time for what?"
exclaims the girl
in the periwinkle petticoat
(she appears simultaneously
excited and terrified
by the impending chaos).

"Bloodshed,"
reckons the squire
of the pocket watch--
the March Hare,
a grisly little thing
in a tattered waist jacket.

"Bloodshed, bloodshed,
off with her head!"

And that girl in periwinkle?

Why that girl is me,
and the Queen of Wonderland
has dealt her cards--
she'd like my head
(and my heart).

But
sweet.
lost.
mad
Alice
has a trick of
her own to deal--
a Wild Card
tucked beneath her sleeve.

She is capable of imagining
at least six impossible things
before the high is over,
you know.
All it takes is a
simple flutter
of an eyelash
and then,
gripped between
her fingers,
appears a substance
foreign to Wonderland--
***.

"Bottoms up--
for with this,
I shan't feel a thing,"
she surrenders.

"What?"
roars the queen
upon her arrival.
"You will not fight?
Why, you must be mad!"

"Haven't you heard?"
replied Alice.
"All the best people are--
Cheers."

My notebook is scrawled with the words
That come out to play when they've heard
I've been feeling a tad tired, or a tad too mad
But in the end, their laughter makes me so glad!

There's a voice that chatters on with plan
And another that keeps me on the straight and narrow
I can feel them straight through the green bone marrow
It's time to find out just where they all stand!

One whispers with wisdom of good common sense
Another would like to shoot Mr. Mike Pence
My little good friends that play on the swing
They yell out from throats that make my head ring!

I love you so much
Is it wrong that we want to smother you with our touch?
But my fists pummel with a passion so great
And in the end, everybody gets my hate!

Happy tithings
Slither your sadness
And madness flies with you
Buzzes through your skull
Dull little headache-
Stop

The sheets are too soft
No one is screaming
walking
moving
Moths eat your town

The mad goat laughs
A wail and a stare
Little red eyes eat you alive

But it's all rather funny
Everyone in black
Weeping souls love
A laughing attack
this poem is nonsense

Alone in the world.
I hatch out marks in corn fields.
Play in natural history museums.
Fly jets around the twin towers.
Fill pools with rubber ***** and turtles.
Bathe in Lake Okeechobee and swim in the acid rain ponds.
Ride the wild African elephants, and paint the rhinos red, white, and blue.
I recite Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream” on the white house greens while painting its walls black.
Drop radioactive bombs onto cites to turn them back to the ice age.
Keep the untamed moss of trees and turn them into little people.
I cage birds to sing to me at night.
I create a bucket list of other people’s accomplishments.
I star glaze at skyscrapers.
I develop new mental disorders and find a cure for cancer.
I steal all the phone chargers.
Alone I do these things from the comfort of my home.
Something form an old long poem that i wrote for a class.

I ask is it weird to say I love you?
Again I ask is it weird to say I love you?
Again I ask is it weird to say I love you?
Is it weird to say I love you?
Is it weird to say I love you?
Is it weird to say I love you
Is it weird to say I love you
Is it weird to say I love
Is it weird to say I love
Is it weird to say I love
Is it weird to say I
Is it weird to say I
Is it weird to say
Is it weird to say
Is it weird
It is
Something weird

Like grains of sand on a beach
I lay down to rest
But I still blow away in the end.

I can't sit or stand now, and
My legs liquify
To the point where I am just water.

Come by round the town and see
What may you find
In the nuclear town that I made.

Here I dissolve looking out
My cracked window
I awaken without any rest.
Same syllables, same crap.
