The two met a few years ago
He was eager for her attention and she was eager for his
A couple of days went by, the two went out on a movie date
Little that she know, his sweetheart was sitting next to them in the movie theater
As they were watching a movie, she gripped on to Jose so tightly as a horrific scene was displayed on the screen
His sweetheart grew jealous and held his hand when she was not looking
When the movie was over, everyone went home
As the two changed and lied down for bed, an incoming text buzzed off on his phone....
It was the sweetheart!!
The text read; "Hey baby, I miss u."
He replied; "I miss u 2"
She was disappointed and wanted nothing to do with Jose no more.
The dialogue have spelling errors because of the texting between the sweetheart and the boyfriend.

In movies you see there is a person, Emerged in water,
Surrounded by darkness and Captivated by the silence.
You see they're drowning,
You can hear them
Desperately
Taking their last and final breath
But are greeted by water instead of oxygen.
You know they're dying
And so do they.
But in a miraculous change of events
A hand comes down to save them
Or they're awoken from their nightmare.
This is my situation.
I'm emerged in life,
Surrounded by hate
And captivated by the sadness.
I can see I'm not getting better.
I can feel myself
Desperately looking for my happiness.  Instead I'm greeted by loneliness.
I know I'm dying,
So does everyone else.
But this is reality; not a movie.
There are no miracles.
No ones going to reach out their hand and save me,
I'm a life not worth saving.
How can I wake up from a nightmare When my life is one?

Endings are always painful.
So, I always keep
a half-read book,
an incomplete poem,
an unfinished movie,
and a barely heard song
with me;
Just in case...

I AM FROM NORTH PHILLY
FROM SMALL STREETS, VACANT LOTS
AND PEOPLE WHO AREN'T THAT FRIENDLY.
I AM FROM THE WISE FAMILY
WHERE THANKSGIVING IS ALWAYS AT GRANDMAS
AND WATCH OUT FOR MOM ON YOUR BIRTHDAY
I'M FROM MOVIE NIGHTS
THE SCARY ONES THAT MADE YOU JUMP
AND THE SENTIMENTAL ONES THAT MADE YOU CRY
FROM SPANISH FOOD ONE NIGHT AND JAMAICAN THE OTHERS
I'M FROM LOUD MUSIC
AND "CLEAN YOUR ROOM!" SUNDAYS
I AM FROM WRESTLING WITH MOM
AND TRIPPING LITTLE BRO IN THE LIVING ROOM
I AM FROM RELIGIOUS ELDERS
AND GRANDPA BEING IN BED ALL DAY
I AM FROM MAGAZINES ON THE WALL, SHARED BEDS AND DARK CURTAINS
I AM FROM NORTH PHILLY
i hate that we've been together so long without being able to call you my boyfriend
i hate how you never smile in photos, and the way you wear blue shirts that bring out the colour of your eyes
i hate the fact you think i'm beautiful when you've never really seen me
i hate how you call me at 3am and insist you're not drunk, and pretend it was an accident when you call me sober
i hate that you don't ask how my day was or what my favourite season is or if i like your hair like that
i hate when we don't talk for weeks and suddenly you miss me
i hate how you forget the name of my favourite song but remember the day we met
i hate that you promised your grandma you wouldn't smoke anymore but brag about your drugs to me
i hate how much i hate you, but that i have to, because the dumb truth is i love you, and
i hate how after all this time you still don't love me
monday 25th may '15 - my first poem in months, i guess you inspired me. i studied this film in school and here's my list for you. if you ever read this would you change?

I got frightened
By the movie's end
To where I screamed loud
It reached the cloud
Some parts where funny
It was kinda sunny
But most were scary
No signs of being merry
The fatality it had
Made me sad
Wishing I'd never go online
But I'd always whine
me and my friends watched "Unfriended".

The future is a movie.

We sit in darkness
before a blank screen,
worried and uncertain.

This is our movie
and we know that
we don't know
how it turns out.

Will we be happy?
Will we be together?
How can we make it
happen as we'd like?

Separated by distance,
country and age,
we have to write
this script together.

No one will see
this movie but us,
yet it must be
perfect as a
a technicolor dream,
perfect as this
deep attraction
that we feel.

Only we can write it.

We hold it in our hands
like a crying newborn.

What does it require;
how will we know?

Whatever lies between
the now and the then,
I'm holding out
for a happy ending;

how about you?
Hard to know.

Everybody sits in quiet contemplation
Breathing like they want no one else there
If they were a thousand tiny films
Their songs are syncopations.

Long before the scene fades out
You left the cinema, you gave no credit
To roll, nor any role to set it as you said
With that unironic smile,
It wouldn’t matter if you were dead.

You said, you’d rather be unkind
Than to say what’s on your mind
Sizing up the mountain in the room
With that cord wound up
And that knife in your mouth
I know I said I wouldn’t call you out

On it, but you’re a thief
So don’t steal, I can see it in your eyes
You’re a pro
At moving right between lines.

So where was I in your big production?
Just the money shot in all seduction?
Thumbs down and out moving out
We’re all our worst critic, but don’t walk out on the show
I’m unconvinced; this is first of many episodes

Take a good hard look at the million frames
Think of all the things you cast in my name
But in the dream of mine, timeless in birth
It would break your heart like up there in the scene
If you could bear to see it up on screen:
The script isn’t how it was meant to be.

And we sat there,
holding hands,
holding lips,
Holding body's,
facing each other,
loving each other,
and our background music was indeed,
my favorite movie,
and you laughed at me,
because occasionally,
I would turn my head from you lips,
to watch the movie,
and that is when you learned,
never to use my favorite movie,
as the background sound,
and that is when you began to sing the theme song,
"Ponyo Ponyo, little fishy in the sea, pretty little fishy,"
and then added his own verse,
"why don't you pay any attention to me?"
and that is when I felt most in love with him.
this is for my collection of 40 things to talk about x.x this is number one the first question was 1: Talk about the first time you watched your favorite movie. so I wrote a poem about it.

You’re waiting for a train
A train that takes you far away
But then you remember
You already played  this game

Inception is what they mean
For they who can’t dream
Forever is what you get
As long as you have left

Buildings fall ocean rising
Forever might seem surprising
Untouchable it seems
But promises are to keep

You think you are awake
While you are actually asleep
Wanting to wake up
You have to die

Totems are the key
To see what is reality
Gravity rules
For they who are awake
And alive
I just want to say I dont know anything about Poetry unfortunately. So every time I write, I hope that it comes out alright. So i really appreciate it if you review it so I can work on my skills. Thank you for reading :)
