See within the broken glass, in hopes to catch a reflection. I place this mask upon my face, for the image of perfection.

This one hides in deeper shades, colors take on a different hue. The person that is really me, I sometimes crave you knew.

Rage is red across my face, it flashes only suddenly. If you knew what I harbored inside, our companionship would never be.

Regret and shame I tuck deep within, to you I can never show. It rips and claws at the corners of me, more then you could know.

When the last leaf has reached the ground
And sky gets filled with innocent white snow
You ll start to see what you have found
Reveal the love you re desperate to show
The lightning strikes in your bright soul
We chose disguises for us all
To hide away from all the pain
Convince we dont waste life away.

You look around you,
You see everyone going about their daily business.
You see normal typical beings.
You wonder, are they really what they seem to be?

For every person wears a mask.

Hiding behind each masks,
Lies untold stories, legends, and adventures waiting to be unfold.
The darkest of secrets hidden behind layers of skin and flesh.
And the brightest of hopes, living inside the sacred hearts.
A magnificent being lies beneath, waiting to spread its wings.

But to you, theyre just another face passing by,
Because the masks they wear is all you see.

This whimsical mask alight in my arms
Such a light, cheery laugh
Surely I mean no harm

Just a little, slight push and it's up on my face
Now I tumble and flip
To the clouds I give chase

For I am the tumbler, the jester, the clown
I make people smile
I chase away their frowns

With a flip of my hat and a twist of my tongue
I make all the oldest
Of tales seem young

I am the gleeman, the poet, the bard
I see your future
In the face of my card

So come watch me now, as I put on a show
I'll make you laugh
As this happy crowd grows

Who am I?
Who should I be?
What makes me me, what do others see?

Who am I?
A broken man?
Shattered and weak, unable to stand?

Who am I?
Lost and alone?
Have I misplaced the light that You have shown?

Who am I?
Just a small, dreary soul?
Have I given up hope; have I lost all control?

We try hard to be who we're not.
Try too much to fit in with our peers.
Acceptance is what we search for in those four years we spend in high school,
hoping along the way we can find ourselves behind the facades.

Mask after mask,
we shield our true selves from the people around us.
But somewhere along the way,
we lose who we are in the mix.

Lest you find yourself amongst the bones,
Mask your face and quiet your soul.

Flock in lines of the mundane and meek,
Zip your lips, peacful keep.

This genocide of individuality is perverting our kind, incestually.
Perfect patterns, mechanically, processed, soundly.

The flawed are pushed aside,
The individuals are boxed up, shipped out, Pariahs.

So, don your masks, one and all!
Suit up, and watch your sheeple fall.
Waiting in the car. Pariah is my favorite word... Of the day.
