I'm lying on My lawn,
beneath a sky that's blue.
In search of poetic words,
to compose, a Poem for U.
Words suddenly come pouring,
as grey clouds pass by.
Thunder grips the earth,
As lightning scrawls the sky.
I'm reminded of good times,
We both spent together.
Those golden moments,
I wish......had lasted forever.
Your haunting voice,
still echoes in My head.
I'm now a lonely soul,
who wishes He was dead.

it was like a shock
at first
like lightning strikes
in the silence of midnight
breaking through the calm
like a raging storm
that thrashed and hurt
in white-gold veins
harsh against the clouds
an electric current
that creeps into my blood
and settles in my chest
when i first saw you.

Colours of the fringe
Amethyst runs through the sky
Burning down the night

I sought out the rain
And though long I sat within
Storms followed me home

Ozone like incense.
A brief flash against the dark.
Lightning guides our way.

The smooth hot breath
of summer dances on her skin
A warm metallic fragrance
soaked into her tongue
as electricity pulsed
in the lingering humidity
Rolling embers illuminated
the midnight sky
The still darkness
hummed and sparked
Suffocating the timid
roars of thunder

if you were
if you could
if you wanted to
then i would
if you knew
and that was it

then i think lightning
just might hit
strike me over and over

I wish I were as powerful and beautiful and mysterious as a storm.
I want to be the biting sting and soothing saturation in every drop of rain.
I want to exist as the current of electromagnetism that surges and scintillates through every bolt of lightning.
I want to be as elusive and unpredictable as the unsettled wind.
I want there to be no doubt I AM here, no doubt I WAS here, and absolute uncertainty of my return.
