There's a place we all could go
Be captives there for hours
A place that in perception shows
Us giant moths & flowers...

We'd smell the finest perfume
From Mary's flowing locks
For Jesus's  anointing
From her alabaster box...

We'd hear the singing of the buds
About to burst in bloom
Feel the wind that listeth
Into our tiny rooms...

For here we are in prison.
Here we are in chains.
But Christ has arisen!
His blood flows through our veins!
So no matter what is done to us
This fact still remains
We perceive the sound of heaven
THE MUSIC OF YOUR NAME...

JESUS!!
Your voice is deafening
JESUS!!
But it's still.
JESUS!!
Touch my heart of hearts
With Your mighty will!

JESUS!!
Lord of lords
JESUS!!
Great I AM
JESUS
You show Your awesome power

THE ROARING OF THE LAMB!

The wolf in my heart will never let the world see the lamb in my soul,

But sometimes you see it in my eyes

does GOD adore the Tyger
while it’s ripping ur lamb apart?

does GOD applaud the Plague
while it’s eating u à la carte?

does GOD admire ur brains
while ur praying IT has a heart?

does GOD endorse the Bible
you blue-lighted at k-mart?

NOTES: In the segmented title “evol” is “love” spelled backwards. The title questions whether you have been shunned by a "God of love" or evolution. William Blake’s famous poem “The Tyger” questions the nature of a Creator who brings lambs and tigers into the same world. Keywords/Tags: god, love, evolution, coronavirus, plague, tyger, tiger, lamb, predator, prey, brains, heart, bible, K-Mart, blue light special

A people refer to Him as the Lamb of God,
Yet they don't falter while killing lambs.

How much do they respect their God?
They celebrate by eating lambs in dinner.

Such double standards?

Another people think that swine is forbidden,
They also say all animals were created by hallA.

Yet they love to **** cattle,
And eating them as well.

Such double standards?

you could call me Larry
you might call me Shaun
but I will look Eastward
and wait for the dawn

you may think me seasoned
you could call me spring
but I'm looking Eastward
while the morning birds sing

you could call me silly
you might think me dumb
but when I look Eastward
I greet the dawn sun
Each September comes BEAT Borough of Ealing Art Trail - Art shown in artists homes. And each August poets are invited to write an accompanying poem to a piece of art. This is one of my BEAT poems.

you made me feel immortal
and in return
i broke your heart
perhaps it is not that simple
but isnt it?

the heart of a lion
resides in my chest.
the heart of a lamb,
within yours.
ironically,
they are identical.
this was in my drafts from april, i really like it.

Mary had a little lamb
Its teeth was sharp as knife;
It stormed to her room one night
And **** her ******* blood.

Leave the inner world
for the world outside the walls,
procure supplies,
then, return again.
That's the plan, Stan.

Feet meet cement block.
You remember the last time
we took this walk?
As well as I do.

Insert a line I've used before,
commenting on the violet hues
of parting suns, painting the
skies above us as we go for bread.

Instead of hidden knives,
I pull a hand and offer it
as we cross the overpass.
If you're scared in day,
you're terrified at night.

Without a pause, you're reaching out,
grasping for a comfort, now.
Easy, is it? I'll bet it is.

If life has taught me anything,
the most important change
is that I learn to zip my mouth.

Joy equates to nothing more
than what others see in store,
and go on to demand of me.

Lamb's Bread from The CDC
replaces intensity
I've lost to love, with smoke.

Light it up, and let it go.

All my life I have kneeled down at your altar
Sacrificing my innocence and self worth
A lamb who's blood would gain me favor
"the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist"
Yes, I worshipped you like a God I was afraid of
Old Testament wrath brewed in our home
And I readied myself to **** what I loved
As Abraham would, as sheep do for their shepherds
For I knew my creator loved me, and called me love
"For he disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child. "
By the stripes inflicted upon me I would be freed
Of this shame and unworthiness you bestowed

But it turns out "Father" does not mean "God"
Sometimes it just means "alcoholic"
Sometimes discipline just means abuse
My faith is now placed in me, and the God that made us both.
