he said he would bring me flowers;
i didn't know the kind he was talking about

he said they're the most beautiful i'll ever see
and he was right
these flowers don't grow from water though

for some reason they only sprout when my friend is around

he gives me the seeds, they fall from my eyes and caress my cheeks
sometimes, I catch them in my hands
usually I just let them go

but he is a generous friend,
always waiting around the corner

i like bouquets but he hates picking his flowers
so he flirts with my mind to capture my heart
and the garden blossoms

i used to hate him and his gifts

not any more,
i think they're graceful and they speak to my soul
Roses are Beautiful,
but, they have thorns.
You can walk through
a rose garden, and your
clothes could be tattered, and torn.
They are indeed Exquisite,
A gift made by nature,
be careful though as
you reach,
For, these thorns
tend to puncture
There very pointy, and
very sharp.
A whole garden full
of nature's
beautiful art
There beauty is sacred,
These Roses are adored,
but, beware of there prickles,
for these
Roses have Thorns!!!

The weeds in our garden
Grew as fast as the pile
Of your unreplied letters
Such a sad race to behold...

Feelings, they’re like waves,
Crashing without cease,
Emotions surge and spiral,
Yearning for release.
I’m both tender and fierce,
A garden drenched in night,
Where ivy coils around my heart,
And moonflowers crave the light.

In this storm of passion,
There’s a strength that burns so deep,
Resilience forged in whispers,
Where love and darkness meet.
I navigate this world within,
With a compass kissed by fire,
And find that in the heart of chaos,
Lies the pulse of my desire.

The badger was digging all out,
In search of some grubs, no doubt.
With dirt flying high,
He let out a sigh,
And left quite a mess all about!
My sister has a problem with badgers invading her garden - so much so she has given up the struggle to keep them out - this was written for her amusement.

Consider the garden of your life
carefully
and remember I am a wild rose
I can be cut back
but I will outlast walls

Fed by summer heat
The foolish spring garden grew
far beyond its plot
So frightening its bounty
the harvest rots on the vine
A tanka; doomed romance.
