Cassandra Nov 2024
we are waking up every day
with so many things on our plate.
Even if the whole day feels empty,
our minds are heavy like lead.

We are leaving early to live our life
but we are always arriving late.
We are ******* the air in
but we our lungs aren't breathing.

We are searching everywhere, we are trying all the time,
but we don't know what we are wishing to find.
We are living every day
but no one is feeling alive.

We are fantasising every night
But we aren't sleeping.
We are wanting more everyday
But we are gaining nothing.
We are talking about living life
But we are burdened by everything that's  coming

I made a list of the things I am afraid of.
On number three, I wrote a word, "Tomorrow".

Tomorrow comes second, first comes today.
Even light, which is the fastest thing we know of,
Cannot make it fast enough to skip today
and make it straight to tomorrow.

Tomorrow is clever.
Tomorrow is truly tricky.
Every today I live,
There's a new tomorrow waiting for me.
"Oh the agony."
"I don't know what the new tomorrow will bring for me."

Everybody's tomorrow's a different tale
And tomorrow shows up every day without fail.

A tomorrow's always there,
A tomorrow always comes,
Until it does not one day.
Maybe then I'd wished
That I'd lived today.

All lives , translucent
films in space .
Like a waterfall
of magical numbers
and codes of the ancients .

Then , initiation to the
realm of the senses ,
through a rich fabric
of symbols , sound and light .

While souls of the
bright star children
cross the galaxies
to their new green home .

Blending their true selves
with the energy of animal spirits ,
they dance cosmic
telluric currents and solar winds .
PERTINAX Nov 2024
Spinning, out of control,
I can see the bottom
Gnarly hands dripping sinew
Grasping at my feet
Eager for me to join
Their twisted feast
Where hunger is not the mode
To satiate the emptiness
But a bitter thirst
To quench the infernal fires
That fed fuel to their burning desire
For me to join them in the abyss
Of loneliness built atop bones of pleasure
Piled up high with lost souls
Who were too weak to look up
And see the sky where birds fly
Or the trees and their lovely greens
A beautiful scene of all the things
Which will be left behind
If I continue to hide and not seek
The wonderful world beyond the drink

So, up I climb
Never to look back
Into the deep

a wailing groan
fists of triumph
lies
the shards of broken promises
from this shallow vase
cut anyone who try to fix it.
Do you really have the answer
or are you just raising your hand?

Bad news is swallowed
With a grain of sour salt
Good news is absorbed
With a chalice of sweet honey.

We’re exhausted and disappointed
We’re out of words and stamina
Hope is put in parenthesis for now
And we feel that the future is very far.

Bad news is goggled and spat out
Our saliva is dehydrated and dry
Yet, like old soldiers, no sacrifice
Is too great to face the future.

what if i live out every dream i have? what if it's everything i hope for and then some? i hope i find majority of my wants in the same places i find what i needed.

of course i'm scared. of course i have an ample amount of fears. but i will have to face them all someday. no one can live in a nightmare just as much as they can survive a dream.
I'm an astrologer and I've been thinking about my saturn return lately. I am scared of my future but this helped I think.

When I gaze into the mirror,
I see no reflection,
When they take my picture,
There is no image to capture,
It feels as though I do not exist,
No connection between my body and soul,
When silver strikes, I still feel it,
Yet I do not claim it as my own,
I yearn for a body that captures my essence,
One day,
I will confront the shadows that haunt my soul

In the absence of your radiant glow,
The world has grown dim and muted,
Once vibrant, now draped in shadows,
The flowers that bloomed now wilt and wither,
Their beauty fading in the stillness.
The warmth and comfort you once offered
Are now a distant echo,
Like whispers fading into the void.
Darkness creeps, a subtle tide,
The stars flicker, their brilliance dimmed,
In their place, a hollow remains.
Has your light been swallowed whole?
Yet I cradle the ember of hope,
A flicker in the heart of desolation,
Stars begin to twinkle, a celestial gleam,
Their light, a reflection of your shining soul.
Your spirit ignites within me,
My sunshine
