it's all a buzz inside me
cotton fluffed between my ears
and ceaseless crickets droning,

like a tuning fork that never ends
but always holds the pitch
of time and undivided space.

an empty shell peering out at life
stuffed with eternal noises
of neurons crackling.

where's the fun in cotton candy
when it's stuffed inside my head?
I think I'm describing mental fatigue, but whatever it is, that's what I'm feeling right now. -_-

Did it take us long to walk over to the broken people,
Letting our compassion change us for a while,
I have not become a saint with an act of kindness,
I am still looking for my oasis in this wasteland,
Everything else is a passing breeze.

The sorrow that filled them in those dark hours
Was my elixir, as I walked forward,
writing my testimonies in the lives I meet on my way.

I have felt grains of sand with my fingertips, my blood
is fatigued, in its course through my flesh,
My veins are distended, toughened, and yet,
They do not tear, and this limbo between
Pain and liberation is Peace within a calamity.

My soliloquy is a bare rasping breath of wind,
Coursing through the streets which led home once,
But are now the lanes of memory, stale in their impotence,
Stinging in their truth, that my existence left behind marks
in the water I bathed in, in the bed I slept in,
in the books I read, which I held,
in the bandages I bled, over the wounds I tried to heal.
On the flag I tried to save, I have wept, Longing
for this journey to end, so I may rest a while.

The diseased have suffered their sickness with stoicism.

I have tried to heal them, succeeded,
failed with a few,
and wondered in the power of Mortality.

My oasis lies in the peaks of the wasteland, I can see it now,
A haze, a sliver of sunlight in this dark wasteland,
Past this murky slush of relationships,
Beyond the cliffs of defeat, and past the rivers
Of Self-loathing criticism.

Fatigue comes and goes
as it pleases.
It comes early in the mornings after I've hit snooze
four times,
and it lingers long after.
It breathes

my spine,
taking power from already aching muscles.
It works at my body throughout the day,
but my mind
still
has the power to wander
through the night.
My body builds up its walls
but it cannot fight this ever-present force.
My mind seems to slip beyond the
wretched grasps,
even though I sometimes wish
fatigue would put my mind at rest,
if only
for a little while.

The hiss of wet road meeting tread,
Wisps of fog reaching up to mother cloud,
Pin ****** of rain on windshield,
Twang of guitar joining with singer in song,
Morning grey surrounds me.

Pale yellow headlights meet me,
Whining as they pass,
Restaurants beckoning me,
Promising warmth food company,
Wipers warning me away,
Morning grey surrounds me.

Destination is known,
Sleep wants what it's owed,
Obligation is to be honored instead,
Fatigue is my companion,
Soon I will start to repay them,
Morning grey surrounds me.

Morning grey surrounds me...
Northeast weather in fall in winter brings such a change to everything.

I hate this depression ****.
I would always feel sad, fatigued, and unmotivated.
If I had a choice,
I would not choose this madness.

below my eyes is a lurid void of lively comets and stars just waiting to be released, it's a reason to sleep tonight.
The more I take

Until
I am just
A pile of sickly,
Brittle bones on the ground

i never got to try
all those good things
like the taste of coffee in 3am
(because i'm sure it's different than the one in 7)
and waking up well rested;
like losing myself and that meaning something nice
and being proud of myself;
like being good at my favourite activities
and screaming at the top of my lungs
on the roof of an abandoned building;
like drawing silly things
and singing along to lyrics that don't make any sense;
like being strong enough
and saving myself
i never got to be fine,
so i don't know how to keep going
I awoke with fatigue and pain,
but my soul lifts with renewed hope
as Love floods my heart, cleansing it
