I looked as you got out from the house
I was suddenly swayed by your manliness
So lovely and rugged in your checkered shirt
Dark beard so scruffy and muscles so rippling.

You slowly walked towards me like a panther
The birds suddenly sang ting a ling a ling ding ****
You slowly stretched your arms and whispered
Huh? But I cannot hear what you say, what is it?

Are you going to **** me at this very moment?
With just your looks you can but I beg you don’t!
You sized me up and down and I was scared but then
Thank goodness you are simply a Lumbersexual.

You opened the zipper of your worn-out jeans
Ooohh! What a huge “hatchet” you have there
You poured everything and I accepted silently
I cannot complain nor retreat for I am just a tree!
Day 6: Write a poem of any length incorporating every word from your latest FB status update in any order.

My FB status is: "ooohh Lumbersexual is in the house"

Thank you lumbersexuals or urban lumberjacks. Why oh why was this my latest FB stat? Gaaaahhh..!! I tried my best tsk tsk...

I am so sorry I have not been online here  at Hello Poetry! I have been very remiss. My father has been taking up a lot of my time, and my mother is not doing well either. She can't get around the way she used to. It's taking a toll on me. There is another factor, also. I renewed my account on Facebook. I've been on there in the little time that I have. And I have been neglecting this site. I am so sorry!

I have family on Facebook. So I'm going to remain on that site more than Hello Poetry. If you have a Facebook account you can look me up... Cathy Jarvis. My avatar is the same as it is here. I still post poetry on there. I wish I could clone myself! I wish I had more time! But circumstances make it very difficult.

Thank you for understanding. I'm going to keep my account here, and read and post where I can. I love you all very much!

I PRAY FOR YOU STILL!

GOD BLESS YOU!

I accidentally
Befriended the third mayor
Of a Chilean town
...they have the same name, and none of the profiles had faces in their pictures.
Well, its a page for a guy who was born in 1861, so the only living person who saw it was my dad (which I quickly cleared up with him).

It's two thousand and
sixteen -
isolation has never been so
difficult to achieve no
dropped
call no Unseen text certainly no
lost letter will do the
trick
nowadays

there is no excuse to give your motherbrotherfriend for
staying a resolute
island in the internetted
sea of archipelagos, so
overcrowded with
bridges and boats that I cannot see the water unless
unless
I make the
space

Silently the social media hero strikes again
The swift and ruthless keyboard warrior
Crushing political correctness
Debunking liberal drivel
Overpowering the opinions of the obsolete

He grows and grows
With every post
And tweets make him feel
Like the torrent of thoroughness
Raging through a landscape
That needs to be cleansed

Outside lies a hostile world
With prying, judging eyes
Online, a world of possibilities
Where virtual battle cries
Are the prelude of a rally
Between the devoid and the deluded

But through his own gaze
Focused on the reflection
On the computer screen
A social media hero rises
While outside, the world passes him by

Oh my love, don’t be a dove.
Don’t check on me on Facebook.
My posts and shouts, my wonder likes
Don’t check on me on Facebook
For on Facebook I lie
I do not share my deepest sighs
I don’t post them like my pies
for people to imply

On Facebook I don’t say how I think of you
like an unwanted miscue
I don’t say how I wish you’d be bolder
and forget why you’re colder

Alas, there’s no more to discuss
for you had made a pass
because you just checked on me on Facebook

The chat box I open
again and again
To read our conversation
from beginning to end
The lies we’ve told to look cool?
Should have rather played 8 – ball pool.
And now,
It’s not you in my notifications
but some silly candy crush invitations
We’ve been 'friends for five years'
Still your voice could never echo through my ears
At the internet cafe,
The 20 bucks I’ve spent on you?
Should have rather played Dota 2.

Tag-ulan
Umuulan ng alaala
Nagpaparamdam ang pag-ibig,
Siyang pag-ibig na naantala,
Pag-ibig na ikaw mismo ang kumitil.

Taglamig
Lumalamig maging mga kamay,
Nais kang basahin,
