I tried to pursue it.
I kept on waiting.
But I guess it’s all not worth it
because it was not meant to happen anyway.

I cried every morning and every night.
I sat on a couch to witness the transition of time.
But I guess even my aches had forsaken and denied
the thoughts of both of us.

Butterflies in my stomach
Scarlet hue painting my cheeks
One slip up and my plan could plummet
No retries, this is final, I've been thinking about this for weeks!

Palms moist now with nervousness
Notions in my head telling me, "This is silly, isn't it?"
I'm still practicing this in the bathroom for perfectness
Deep breaths, encouragement.

Countless broken self promises to try and pull this off just right
Doubts dispelled by the rhythm of my intense heartbeat

This is the only time, definitely the only chance
Parting my quivering lips, I try to say
"Uhm, hey, Cindy. Do you want to go to Friday night's dance?"
Denied harshly, I was, yes, however I still think about how I love Cindy to this very day.

His love for her is so high
But she holds her heart tight
She doesn't want to fall hard
She's afraid of heights

His love for her, like the sun, it shines
Still, she covers her eyes
She doesn't want to get blind

His love for her is so deep
But she doesn't know how to swim
And she doesn't want to sink

Coward. Hmm. :D
"Pain turns hope into scars that burn"* ~~ *Rose

Painfully aware
Of things I see
And I do not dare
Touch what I believe
One single caress
And hope diminishes
What you're left with
Is empty promises
And unfulfilled wishes
The remnants of faith
Are simply ugly markings
Left upon your body
Causing a fire of darkness
And smoke rising
Made of sadness
That disappears
Into the atmosphere
Until you're left with...

Absolutely nothing
Quoted line from "I Killed Her" by Rose, for Frank's "Let's Do A Line!" challenge. This was the first poem I recall reading from Rose and I've been hooked on her poetry ever since then, thanks for the inspiration ***, love ya. :)

hot sun creepin long
be hours for cool evening comes
so we got to hang on for just a little longer
we just gotta *** down this mountain side
just gotta forge the steel
just gotta make it one more day
little further is all i can say
blind to all but the road its hard to tell
little further is all i can say

that night we rested in the lea of a shade tree
cookfire making shadows leap and play
while his soft song breached the stars and river too
so strong a soul hard to believe anything could lay him low
that night saw the truth of the man
had so much to give
but had no love in his life
had no destinations
pity thouse who live without love
thouse who live without hope
that night i saw the truth of the man
a good man who life had cheated

when dawn stirred me
found him cold in his blankets
he had passed away in the lonely night
so i buried him there by the beautiful river
there by the lovely gardens
found no beauty in life but i hope
he finds it in the everafter
saw the truth of the man
a good man who should have had
but had been denied
so i buried him like a king
in the beautiful gardens
by the peaceful river

I sleep to dream, for it is the sweetest escape,
a time to live and experience your hearts true desires.
But the bitter loss when you awake in the morn
reminds you, what your heart wants, lies in forbidden fires.

There have been enough
Sappy poems of love
That address how sappy they are.
So I will keep this one to myself.
Oh~ how it hurts
To in-mind and absorb
My birthed place
No future I see's

A long years wait
It cuts and bleed me
Denied by unreasonable cause
How painful my present be

He waltz with pride
Dances in the eyes of many
Yet, the state is indebtedness
Into thy mother house

So, when our days uncertain
And our young generation is at stake
Let us swarmed ~ be  bold together
For this noble cause & future sake.
written in past, present, and future

note: sorry for some mistake... now it was finished....
