I write my words in cursive so they know how to.
The lines that bind us together can seem so thin,
like a dash of ink, it can be wiped away.

An island only knows water for the way it extends beyond the horizon.
The peaceful splashes of rippling waves can’t pacify the feeling of loneliness;
a passing bird squawks as it carries on its journey.
And the sun keeps rising day after day.

Have you ever felt the jolt of holding someone’s hand?
The spark of life that is embracing them in a hug?
We were made to connect,
yet so many of us sit aside
unplugged.

The singer on the stage begs us to sing along;
and for a moment, every stranger is bound by word and sound.
That post-concert depression hits hardest during that long drive home -
riding solo.

I write my words in cursive so that they know how to.
Because if they do, maybe you will too.

As the call ended
So did we
Between our phones
Not only the connection broke
But also the hearts,
that were connected as well

my parents taught me
opposites don’t just attract
they also connect

I write poems to chase rotting ghosts from my soul.
To clear thoughts, voice ideas and to make myself whole.

I'm not here to write classics or tell of epic events.
Just to gather thoughts, clear my head and hope to make sense.

I read what you write and hear your point of view.
I learn from your lessons and I search what is true.

If just one word in return that I write should make you reflect.
I am honored you found some meaning and reason to connect.
Sometimes I read and hear the echoes of myself.... sometimes you just say it better than I could hope to.

No silver screen quotation will show the caveat of love.
It's wrapped in idealism and wishful thinking.
The atmosphere fills with melancholy from the dark side of a heart.
I don't want love and it's pledge; to hold me forever.
I want to couple on the deepest level of my soul.

Today woke up to see,
if still here and breathe.

Shared the crazy colours
with those precious in the arms.

Raced the town to say,
the yellow train goodbye.

Visited the morning trees,
seeing the specks of light in beams.

Went to the banks of river
to dream a bit of lovely ******.

Speeded up just enough to take off,
to ****** up the day.

Today.
Because I've witnessed beavers to be gifts, make fireworks and save her day )
Have you?
