I will read you like i read a dictionary

I promise I wont abuse you,

because I grasp the knowledge you possess

I promise to use every page

because every page of you is important

I promise to keep you around forever

because you are timeless

I promise to never be selfish with you

because everyone should see your beauty

you girl,

you are an un paralleled dictionary

in a library full of books

Much unhappiness comes about when  comparing ourselves with someone else
I used to spend a lot of time comparing myself to family, friends, or peers etc.
I was much happier when I stopped comparing and just decided to be me.

You

All pierced ears
and tattoos
and walking out of classrooms

Me

All thumb rings
And flannel shirts
And anonymous emails

You

With strong arms
And scars
And a smile like a rainstorm

Me

With bony knees
And freckles
And chapped lips

You

Your dilated pupils
Tar choked lungs
Stories from rehab

Me

My slurred words
Empty bottles
Hangovers

You

Saying I miss you
Please kiss me
I love you

Me

Saying I'm drunk
Please need me
I'm empty

Love is like the rain,
because although when in the clouds,
the droplets may fall from the sky as rain,
they continue on for the chance of
forming a beautiful crystal snowflake

Love is like the trees,
because although some die before
their prime, others live on for thousands
of years in harmony, and people gather
around and stare in awe at their beauty

Love is like the sun and earth,
because although the sun can not get
too close to earth, it still provides her
with sunlight, and energy, and anything
she needs to get through another day.

Love is like the dirt
because although it gets stepped on
everyday, it still provides homes for other
animals, and it provides plants what they
need to to grow and survive

Love is like nature
because too many times, people don't take
the time to appreciate it all of it,
but if we stopped and looked around,
we'd see how beautiful it really is.

If everyone else was a drizzle,
you're a downpour.
If they were locked,
you were the open door.
As easy as a breeze,
blown by the sea,
are the feelings between you and me.
They, a small tune,
You a symphony.
A warm song that can keep me company.

As these summer months fade and are plundered,
By the lengths of fleeting time while I sit and wonder.
I hope we stay as we are,
With everyone else the sky and us the stars.
I dont always say what I am thinking the right way in person. So here's what I could've said if  I would've only organized my thoughts when I spoke. haha
I am* the black sheep
among the *high-achievers

and
the sociable.
We don't
even
baaa..
the same tune.
Nothing
*****
more
than
being
compared
to them.
It is the height
of
cliche,
lack of imagination,
unoriginal.

*Parents love cliche, right?

To love
A form of art
Painting memories with the brush of a hand against a cheek

To love
A form of destruction
Knowing a mind can never save every memory from shattering, scattering

To love
A form of death
Looking at you, every moment, closer to the end

To love
To create
To destroy
To die

Raise your glass
Here's to love.

We are all so worthless
In this vast world.
Us,
with our puny bodies and big dreams,
when we look out into
into the infinity,
don't feel so powerful anymore.
But yet,
every time I look into a soul
I find another world,
another cosmo.
We can hold galaxies in our eyes,
and every imperfection a star,
We can feel as if
we have made a difference,
But not really.
We are yet too small.
You are everything, and yet you are nothing.
