It's hard stepping past
everything you think you know
but that's how we grow.
I must have written this when I was part-time teaching hahaha...

When you are free, you will fail
When you are free, you will offend
When you are free, you will be offended
When you are free, you will get lost
When you are free, you will fail
When you are free, you will make stupid mistakes
When you are free, you will hurt yourself
When you are free, you will be challenged by others
When you are free, you trade subservience and victimhood for independence and responsibility.

Are you tough enough to be free?

One who will give

Instead of take

Most of the income that they make

A lot of them are merely fake

They splash the cash but all the while

The guilt is there behind the smile

How do you think they made their pile?
Someone challenged me to write a poem on the word Philanthropist in under 10 minutes-nailed it!

We're all in the lunar module
And full of addictions:
Whit, Bill, and me

Not one of us
Knows how to land this thing
So I guess we'll see
Where this ride takes us

One small step for insanity
One giant 'this is all
Elizabeth Leone Laird's fault!'
See Elizabeth Leone Laird's Clarity poem challenge.

Run for the hills
Here comes Lorena Bobbitt
Don't stick out your neck
Don't shop until it drops
Just call yourself a taxi
And she just might
Pass you by

"I'm a taxi..."
I'm an addict now. Yet another in response to a poem challenge from Elizabeth Leone Laird. See her poem "Clarity" and take the challenge!

3 is a backwards E
But V is the prettiest letter to me
I guess I'm a sucker for triangles
And the item on my wish list
That best bedazzles
And primps with such grace
I swear she winks
When right up in my face
Still going! Another in response to a poem challenge from Elizabeth Leone Laird. See her poem "Clarity" and take the challenge!

Tick Tock
The time is flying
Tick Tock
It's not stopping
Tick Tock
It keeps moving
Tick Tock
Why are you fighting

Tick Tock Tick Tock
What are you holding onto
Tick Tock Tick Tock
Why aren't you letting go
Tick Tock Tick Tock
Come on and just give in
Tick Tock Tick Tock
Time is gonna catch up

Tick Tock Tick
Is it really worth it
Tick Tock tick
You can't be loved
Tick Tock Tick
It won't hurt them
Tick Tock Tick
JUST GIVE UP

TICK

TOCK

TICK

TOCK

tick

tock

Whenever I start spiraling in my head i listen to a watch i have and the sound calms me down.

The waffle bird
Flew a bit silly
Like a **** pad with wings
Yet with its sharp claws
Reached down into the water
And pulled out
A dinner boat
Serving breakfast all day long...
Third and final (maybe) one in response to a poem challenge from Elizabeth Leone Laird. See her poem "Clarity" and take the challenge!

Pay dirt
Pay phones
Pay the sitter for her time in hell
with the twins
You'll never earn enough
to call long distance
Unless you move to Italy
and live the dream
of making heart-shaped pizzas
