Fear
Fear limits my every action
and fear
Fear haunts my every steps

But not you
You
You walk across the ground without a care
and you
You make choices seem easy

Teach me how to become like you

"Oh that's easy," you say...
"Just be you."

Midnight skies are beautiful
With stars as bright as can be
The moon breathing after being locked away
Truly breathless
Like time is standing still
Letting you be alone with your thoughts
Being able to clear your head
Going into the new day with a clear head
Whispers fade away
And it is just you
You are able to be yourself

Bask in your originality
for all the world
to see.
Be who? Be you.

NO!
I will never let a anyone tell me my place in the world.
Just no.
This is really short but has so much meaning to it. Don't let anyone tell you who you can or cannot be. Be you! Cause you are beautiful, handsome, smart and most of all you are perfect.

Falling in love with
your thoughts will feel
like sipping up,
sunshine from barrel
of liquified, golden sky;
2.Falling in love with
every idea swelling
in your mind, will be
like swallowing fireflies,
that will light up
dark corners of your
blighted soul;
3.Falling in love with
your own dreams
will feel like building
a summerhome  to
sway under cool shade
on sultry sunny days;
4.Falling in love with,
your happiness,
will feel like treading
on damp luscious green
grass on cool autumn
evenings;
5.Falling in love, with
your reflection
will feel like feeding
your soul with electric
Elixir that will cure
every pain;
Falling in love with
Yourself,
Is like,
Deliberately drowning
in galactic oceans,
Absorbing in technicolor
September sky,
Painting your flesh
with all shades of blue,
Tasting erratic wild winter
wind on your tongue,
Dear,
It feels like,
making love to whole
**** Cosmos.
It’s not too late…

to be your own hero

and it’s always too late

to be the maiden in distress

but stop being the own

villain to your story

You are the main character

not the antagonist
Samira Jul 2017
She said "I miss the old Samira, the funny Samira". I thought about who I use to be, smirked & laughed on the inside. I whispered to myself "She didn't even really know who "the old" Samira was & this "funny Samira" had a hard time laughing when she was alone. Today, Samira is her own best friend & she finds peace in stating "I don't need peoples approval who never even knew who I really was". If you see change in someone, maybe they stopped caring about what you thought and decided to live for them only for the time being. Hopefully that time Being is for the rest of their life.
A fawn - limbs uncertain
Innocence of mind
A mind so trusting
A mind so pure
A mind so naive
Would it endure?

Danger lurks, creeps under
Fawn senses it
And returns on its own
Into safety.

So naive, so naive
With fear it has been borne
Yet it trusts it's own

When the armor falls
The swords strike
The one you thought
would protect you
Is the one
You seek protection from.

"Not Me Anymore"

I've become so scared
Ashamed
Only wish I had one to blame
Everything's changed in a blink of a eye , now i often cry and I don't know why , I'm not Me me anymore , who once smiled
Once had confidence within herself , no not me anymore
This girl always ways feels caged like in a jail , I'm scared
Alone
Only able to confide in a poem.
