at a young age,
i learned no one’s safe
when he pulled my tiny frame close,
tugging on my hair,
and not letting go;
i ripped away,
yet failed.

his tongue slithered down my throat,
his hands were cold and hard as stone
against my exterior,
endlessly taking and taking,
and in that moment,
i was numb,
toes frozen,
the screams held within
and arms sewn to the bed
beneath his feet.

my body is stolen and
tainted with his
poisonous sins
gripped within my skin;
i am unclean.

i still feel your eyes trailing along
my abdomen,
burning into my soul,
and your lips bruising my own
as you pressed down harder whilst
fondling every inch of my figure
to no avail.

twelve years later,
with red eyes and a foggy head,
i sleep alone,
fearing that ill drown
in my own sheets.

it was “me too” whom let the devil
consume my innocence
until i was light-headed and limp.

i’ve given up struggling and surviving
for i knew that after that night
i would never be free again,
because,
why live when there’s
no more of me to own?
why fight when i can just die alone?

i’ve left and there’s no going back.
why do people have to be so disgusting? i have yet to completely wash his smell off of me.

Fragments of my soul left that day.

But you didn't want my soul.

You only wanted my body.

But that wasn't all you took.

Me
How much of me is really me.

And how much of me is actually them.

Buried deep in every choice i make.

If i get rid of them,  do i get rid of me.

I don't want them to fill the empty parts of me.

I don't want them in the space they have already consumed and made their home.

Yet they still crawl around my mind like they own it.

Insects that cant just be flicked off.

Filling every space,  till i become them and they become me.

I can still feel your hands on me,
The way they took, the way they gripped at my skin until I screamed.
You liked hearing me scream but you held a hand over my mouth just in case there were ears nearby.
You bruised my lips with how hard you held my face in place, I could barely breath.
Your hands they took, savagely, selfishly
Your eyes trailed my body with a tenderness that you couldn't possibly possess.
They humiliated me, for I was open, helpless.
Weak.
You took and took, and you ******* took!
I cried, I kicked, I begged, but you were all about finishing what you started.
I can feel your hands, everyone who has ever touched me has your hands.
I'm crying, I'm crying, I'm crying, somebody help me, please stop, no more!
I want to feel pretty but not like this.
I flinch at the unexpected embraces.
I awaken in fright when I should be at peace in the night.
You took.
And you couldn't even look me in the eyes because you knew.
You knew
...
But you still took.
Can you please take the memory with you too?

I walked into a lions den.
A place where I could not escape his hands.
Where I kept quiet for the sake of my reputation to her family.
She was my companion
Someone I could cry with
Someone I could talk with
Someone I miss
It was destined to happen.
I lost her because of his fingers on my skin
I lost because I had no proof as to what he did to me
I lost because he was her blood and even though my words could not escape pe my mouth to tell her after it happened
She believed him and
It burned into my skin and dug deeper than his fingers ever could

Maybe someday
Eons from now
They’ll look back
On all these
Open secrets with regret.

he didn't hear me begging him to stop.
me too- he didn't feel me push him away.
me too- his words stung with guilt,
me too- he made me think everything was my fault.
me too- he choked me as I dug my nails in his skin,
me too- he didn't stop,
me too- he choked me until I passed out.
me too- he manipulated me into saying yes.
me too- he forced me to say yes for his own reasons,
me too- he didn't want to hear no
me too- he didn't want another girl to tell him no.
me too- he always told me I wasn't good enough.
me too- he would tell me all the things wrong with my body,
me too- he thought I would want to try harder to be better.
me too- he expected telling me I had "DSL" was romantic.
me too- he thought touching me without consent was ok.
me too- he thought he could get away with ****,
me too- he thought correctly.
me too-
he believes he has done nothing wrong.
Don't let him get away with ****, ****** assault, ****** harassment. It is not okay in any sense. Don't make the same mistakes I have. Say something before it eats you alive.
