I remember you.
I remember the bright lights.
I remember us.

We're a sad starving bunch

of stupid teenagers

sipping from the sky

an occasional rain drop.

We're a sad starving bunch

of secret-keeping teenagers

shrieking to the sky

the phantom growing pains and all too real slowness of our sappy lives.

We're a sad starving bunch

of sanguinary teenagers

shooting our brains toward the sky

attempting to sacrifice ourselves for something more serene.
Written for my close ones.
you were the last
bird of summer

the golds of the
sun melted as you flew

wrapped to an oak-washed
sky, that slowly unravelled

you were my love
and i loved you with every

soft breath of my soul.
Speak to me simply,
trembling voice and shaky hands.
Speak, I will listen.

i like writing you poetry -
at 2 am, night lights glowing through
rain streaked windows, i listen to the city
and wish you'd listen to me.

i like writing you poetry -
angsty little love notes where
every word betrays the cool countenance
i otherwise wear on my face when
we're warring with our words but
teasing with our tongues.

i like writing you poetry -
it's where i can tell you the stories
that belong to the dead of the night
and the dead of my heart.

i like writing you poetry -
because it's the only way
i can tell you that i love you
*without you ever having to know.
hello, love.

We stopped asking questions
Because we were too afraid to
Know the answers.

I thought,
Maybe I only wrote when I was in love.
But you see,
I still am.
It's just now he's gone,
And I can't seem to find those beautiful words anymore.

If we love someone,
We express it,
If we hate someone,
Then we say it,

But you chose silence,
To destroy me slowly,
Your silence has kept me on a string,
The string of uncertainty,

I'm not sure what this silence means,
Do you still love me?
Or you hate me now?

If I walk away from you,
I'll be thinking of coming back,
And If I walk towards you,
Maybe I'll make a mistake,

You have left me alone on this string,
Anyhow I'm destroyed, destroyed of uncertainty ....

I believe that uncertainty is a destroying feeling,

He sheathed his tongue long ago.
He did this because he knows
that the fool is made so by words
and if none can be heard than no
titles are given.

He will draw his sword and
carve his thoughts like slashes
into our heads like boards.
He will shoot glares like arrows
that sink deep into marrow
planting his own ideas into
our bones.

He will fight conversation
the way he would a dragon.
Putting all of his will and
might into stabbing words like
limbs until they all bow down
to him.

In all honesty, the silent knight
can sing, he can bring peace and
melody into war torn fields and
wield song into battle.

He can, but he wont.
All because of laughter that
hes afraid to hear if his melodies
Don't reach or come near the ears
Of someone who's willing
To hear the truths,
Behind each of his
Tears

Living in the summer sun
Emitting our life's breath
Autumn comes and you are gone
Falling to your death
