If you truly loved you never die,
Because you give a part of you that goes out to be part of the universe and lives forever, traversing mortality.
Uniquely approach life,
Yours is different from everyone else's.
Comparison is a thief of joy for sure because we compare ourselves to people who aren't us.
Hearts don't break instantly,
They break gradually.
We see the signs and brush them off. We only want to see the best and we do. When your heart breaks, dots are connected.
 Aug 2020 Poetic Eagle
Juneau
Our fixation with hand held machines
And replacing meals with soybeans
A spectator to arguments over vaccines
We're all underemployed and "getting-by" by other means
Living vicariously through our broken screens
Lobotomized and abused; nearly at-risk teens
Utterly lost in so many depression memes
Farmed and sent out from the Phillipines
Too desensitized to hear our own internal screams
January 2nd 2020
Jumping on the crunchies
And crushing where I step,
Absorbed in each breath.

Where fall leaves stale,
I plant these stomps
going nowhere,
In particular.

Then I saw you
Stepping on
crunchies too,
consumed,
Simple and true.
With all of you.

Stay playful, stranger, curious.
There's enough crunch
For the both of us.
