Throw another log on the fire
the wind's getting up
and the rain's turned to sleet.

Make a dancing ,crackling fire,
to fill up the room
with it's comforting heat.

There may be a power cut
but never you mind,
we'll sit in the light of the fireside glow.

We'll renew our love
without distraction
while outside the sleet turns to snow.
winter is upon us

Be patient with me
I’m still a work in progress

Somedays I seem put together
But that paint’s not dry just yet

One day I’ll get this right
I’m sorry
i used to be a believer
in your eyes that held the stars in them
you used to be a believer
in my veins that blood pumped through

now you're withdrawing
i'm lying in this wasteland
wondering where the stars went.
my veins are a map,
leading you away from me
and i wish i could rearrange these lines
bring you back to me
i really did see the stars in your eyes and i would let you go if that meant you could keep the stars in your eyes. they were always meant to be in you. it was always meant to be you.

You don’t know what you want.
I want your smiles, touches, and gazes.
You need time to figure it out.
I’ve figured it out, time with you is all I need.
You are scared of commitment and making promises.
I promise I’m committed to making you feel safe.
You don’t want to lead me on.
I’ve led myself in your direction for a reason.
You apologize for hurting me and making me feel less.
You make me feel more than you could ever know, and that's what hurts the most.
I feel as if Life
has run me dry.
Its vast Opportunity,
my Inaction,
consumed
the last oasis

Now they, dry bones
Brittle hulls of beetles
scuttle amid sameness
We starve
for color
not dripping in red.

Nothing much thrives
In these hills

Though time has built
an
endless warp
of
suffering and pain
the
ancient dust of Africa
is
breaking down the chain
can you hear
the
winds of change
shifting
through the brain
the
ancient dust of Africa
makes
diamonds
in
the
falling
rain
a message of hope to all parents
Of
the
Third world child
The winter sky saluted me,
As I let my mind rest into daydream.
A brief moment of beautiful pause
To create faces in the clouds.

It was then that I realised
That just the sight of your face,
Soothed all the burns upon my skin
From all the time I've tried to cleanse myself
With the isolation that so often erodes me.

The air was cold, my lips were blue;
But still, I couldn't fault the view.

you scare me sometimes
i don't think you would ever intentionally hurt me
but you have my heart in your hands
i fall down with every word you say
my hands are bruised
my knees are ******
you would never intentionally hurt me

but my love for you
is ruining me
