i begged him
to stay
behind the screen
in my dreams
in these pages
in my life
even if he was

because if he stepped out
and i was able to hold his hand
i know i'd have to let go
but i don't know if i can

Trace the scars at her back.
You'll find a constellation.
Trace her tears when it streaks down her cheeks.
You'll find a lonely river.
Trace her hair strands.
You'll find an aromatic flowerbed.
Trace her fingertips.
You'll find hurricanes and tornadoes.
Trace her soul.
You'll find yourself.

They were perfect strangers
connected through words
not knowing the names
separated by worlds
helping each others find
the lost pieces of their souls !!

Putting up with all of his nonsense
Haven't you had enough of his abuse?
He thrives on making you bitter
You often drown yourself in tears
Year after year, you can clearly see
That he was never really sincere

than the one you loved.
than the liar
than the fool
than the unfaithful
than the bored
than the lonely
than the desperate
than the selfish
than the leech
than the cowardly
than the lifeless
than the confused
than all of them.

"you deserve so much better"
isn't that what you said?

funny how it feels as though
maybe I've heard that somewhere before...

because i know.
you're better than drunken weekdays,
and ******* lines on the bathroom counter,
because you can can flourish faster
than the marijuana plant in the corner.
but what is live fast
die young
if your summer nights aren't filled with dreams
because the alcohol clouds your vision.

you're worth more than one night stands
and that cigarette between your teeth
but satisfaction is an inadequate mask for need,

and desire just gets us into trouble.

They say women can't fight
Can't write good poetry
Can't create good paintings
Can't play sports
Can't work good jobs
Or do what a man does
I think they're afraid
Afraid that women might be better than them or equal in skill
Silly sexists
The world is changing
Changing for the better
