I wonder if like a storm you are
unaware of the damage you inflict.
Flooding these walls with screams,
shattering the fragility of our home.

I assume you are too caught up
within your own struggles to break free.
The wrath of your thoughts and those
calculating fingers rake your flesh.

Etching violent artistry's to your soulless
voids. Little needles which pin-***** at
the dark corners of your mind; awakening
the dormant cruelty sheltered within.

It is only through the cusp of night that
apologies emerge as you feign delicacy.
Your liquid skies fade to hellish hues as
you tell me not to lust after hurricanes.

My words crawl
away into the shadows
cowering under the
echoed silence, the fear
of pasts claws.

It's a quiet place here in
the chasms of the soul,
where forlorn murmurs
of wisdom, breach the
signature of mystery.

Feeding the lands of
my mind, seeking oceans
hold, I cannot listen to
the voice of reason.

I follow you into the
woods and dancing in the
light of our dying fires

There was this one moment when the rain poured
and we were both stranded at the moment
because we were both at awe at the sound of the rain
and the defining scent of petrichor
Do you remember?
You closed your eyes and smirked as rain poured
and all I could do was watch and see you in the moment
because you were in that moment.
You claimed the moment
Do you remember?
The raindrops fell harder and the sky grew darker
and we all could do was watch
you went closer, as if you were expecting something
when the bright spark of lightning appeared
along side a loud thunderclap
you clung onto my sleeve and felt your heart race
Do you remember?
"That was loud" I commented as we both watched it
though, not a response from you was heard.
at that moment I saw you clinging on my sleeve
and felt your gentle heart race
Do you remember?

At that moment you said "Thunder  frightens me"
and at that point
I always remembered
I saw them today... Lightning and Thunder
I just hope you were okay  when they said hi

My father
Was a violent person
Hot tempered, serious, tense.
Always, always tense.

I tried to deny it
But deep inside
I feared him.

Whenever I sensed a sudden change in his eyes,
A sudden flicker of anger on his face,
And even a sudden thickness in the air,
The fear kept creeping back

It was not the alcohol
That turned him into a monster.
Just how, in the right mind of a person,
Punch his wife,
Tear her hairs out of her scalp
And leave her body with bruises?

Just how, in the right mind of a person
Abuse his wife in front of his daughter,
Nonetheless of her daughter’s presence?

He’d hurt me too sometimes
When I tried to intervene,
To save my weak mother away from his grip.

He never apologized.
Not even once.

She was a force of nature
Her blood ran as cold as a tundra
Her thoughts spun like a tornado
She was the reason hurricanes were named after people
She could leave you drenched and defeated like a tsunami
Her kisses were electrifying
God gave her the beauty of a spring flower
She was a natural disaster the news forgot to warn you about.
She was catastrophic

At Old Souls Shack
twilight descends.
It is quieter
after the ghosts
are gone.
The lightness
of darkness
takes their places.
Birds sing quieter
as well.
I softly imagine myself
far north of here
drinking wine
and reading poetry
to an older
younger woman.
She is wiser than I
but owns a gentleness
that belies her wisdom.
She makes up her world
and then inhabits it.
She is simply herself
which is a great deal.
She soothes me.
Sometimes I am lucky
and get to visit.
Twilight is uncertain,
so soft imaginings
are good friends
to have.

She has it all:

wit, intelligence
and beauty,
but denies them
as if to be special
is somehow
a shame.

She keeps her heart
deep within a castle:
moat, drawbridge,
walls, keep and towers
to keep hurt away.

If you want her you
must lay siege
to the fortress,
slowly break down
all obstacles,
replace them
with trust.

You must win
her by being
patient and worthy.

I am an old soldier
but my will
remains stronger
than most.

I have one
more campaign
left in me.

I will take
this citadel,
overcome
these obstacles
or break my heart
on its walls.

Defeat is not
an option where
such a prize
awaits.

"Once more into
the breach."

At four AM,
the hour of the Blues,
you will think
you want to escape
from the world.

By dawn
you will know
you must escape
into it.

Where shall you go?

Wherever your
heart leads.

Listen to it
and be on your way.

Please be the best version of beauty...
Laugh louder than anyone else...
Be the life of the party....
Dance and hold him close....
Fall asleep in his arms...
Miss the embrace that you deserve...
Make love everynight...
Fall into his stare be safe in his strength...
You are the moment he knew love exists...
The angel he never thought he could kiss...
I see you together and i realize now what I miss.....

I am beautiful,
And I am life consuming.

I am a wild night,
With tequila
And **** strangers
And uncomfortable
Heels and Lingerie.
Loud music,
Sweat and kisses and mystery.

I am a lazy morning.
Cartoons and pancakes,
Large cup of coffee
And the front page of a newspaper.

I am ***.
I am chocolate.
I am electricity.
I am a weak pulse,
And strong urges.

I am a princess.
I am unstoppable.

Don't get comfortable.
I'll make you squirm.
