If indeed
my heart knows
every word
to this song,

why then
does my voice
argue that it
should never
be sung?
don´t make her love you
if you are going to come and go,´

don´t tell her you´ll protect her
just to end up letting her burn,

don´t make her trust you
if you arent planning on answering her calls,

don´t pretend you understand her
just to get under her skin,

don´t make her show you her demons
if you aren´t brave enough to fight them,

don´t make her fell she is essential
if you are going to walk away,

don´t call to say goodnight everyday
if you want her to sleep when you forget,

don´t make her give you everything just to leave her empty-handed,

don´t make her believe you care
if you plan on dissapointing her,

Don´t make her yours
if you aren´t going to be hers´

Dont make her your bestfriend
if you don´t plan loving her ´till the end
Poem dedicated to the friends I lost along the way and to my fear of abbandonment.

I traced the texture of your words
Like my heart was blind
And your voice was braille

Temperamental Times 1
Haiku by Serenus

All the leaves turn brown
When Summer trips and Falls down
Spring screams, Winter frowns

Temperamental Times 2
Haiku by Serenus

Spring and Summer brawl
The death of them both brings Fall
Winter revives all

Temperamental Times 3
Haiku by Serenus

Oh what a ******
It is the end of Summer
Soon Winter’s slumber

Temperamental Times 4
Haiku by Serenus

Middle of the road
A war between Hot and Cold
Spring and Fall takes hold

Temperamental Times 5
Haiku by Serenus

Heat, Wind, Rain, Earth, Ice
The elements of real change
The origins of life

Temperamental Times 6
Haiku by Serenus

Rain washes the pain
While wind stirs the soul within
And time brings sunshine
Just having a little fun with the seasons...will add to this series, tell me what u think

~

perhaps if the stars
could ever gaze back
upon themselves
suspended in the night sky,
revel in their own beauty.
soak in their own majesty.
in awe of their own wonder.
perhaps only then,
they would understand;
what i see in you.

they say,
time will heal;
but the clock broke,
the day my heart
stopped ticking
for you
heartache.

The universe puts her headphones on
And plays her favorite track
The raindrops in the meadow burst
And soak the earth
And with her feet up on the world
She smiles from ear to ear
And plays it back
What songs does the universe listen to? Is there a more beautiful sound than the rain falling in the secluded meadow. Truthfully, I don't know. But I do love the sound of these words as they roll off the tongue. YUPP!
