Our poems are fabrics

knit with the dreams inside
laid out in the open
so may a passing eye
grant a glance

a pausing mind
decides for a fleeting moment
to wear

thinking them their own.

South-by-Southwest
The searing pain inside my brain
makes me want to right out a poem.
She moved in so close I could
feel the electricity there within .
The words would fail me
like a lovers lament will do .
The kisses were as crispy
as the laptop from which they flew .
And everyone knew you were
looking through the bay window
of your time .

The paperboy delivered
much more than my morning news .
And Cathy moved to New Orleans
with Danny as it was
her will to choose .
And the nighthawks few in the lights
it was a sight to see .
Ken kept slinging beers
while he dreamed of dreams
that would never be .
Still I see it all in the window of my pane .

I sometimes dream of Judy
and the reasons we could never be .
There's a Red Mountain resting underneath
the apartment holding me .
It was up hill , downhill ,
and it was unreasonable
so it seemed .
Anytime you had complaints
they would surely scream .
I see it all now through
the windowpain
of my mind .
I see the moon,

and the moon sees me.

God bless the moon,

and God bless me.

*May the sweetness of rest enfold you

as the night puts on its cloak.

You Just Know

How do you know that its alright
To start over once again
To pack your bags and not look back
A new journey to begin

How do you know the time has come
For you to make a change
To give yourself all you need
So you can walk away

How do you know when to go
And leave it all behind
To start out fresh with something new
Not knowing what you'll find

How do you know to say enough
You have given all you can
To know inside you did your best
And it's time for different plans

I always said inside you'll know
When that time has finally come
That you'll feel it deep within your soul
And know what must be done

So if for sure that time is now
Then you know what you must do
Turn the page on this book of life
A new chapter just for you

You Just Know

It can be a life change with a divorce a break up or simply a move. Maybe a decision that needs made that you have put off for to long or even a work change. No matter what it is you must go and do what is best for you.

It is easy to love a poet
Give her that smile that she'll never forget
Just send her  a word or a line
And everyday will be just so fine

Show her your photo, good or not
Anyway she loves you a lot
Everything from you is for keeps
Like sweetness of your kiss on her tender lips

Touch her softly, that she never expects
Kiss her forehead as sign of respect
She feels wonderful when you are around
A simple hello is a lovely sound

Give her a time to tell her stories
Make her feel that she's really missed
She just deserves a hug and a smile
After being away for a while

Let her lean on your chest and shoulders
Let her feel that you are all hers
When she waits for a shooting star to fall
You know what's her wish afterall

She always sits on your lap,  doesn't she?
Like a baby girl she ought to be
When she press your nose, fell proud
She only wants you to laugh so loud

Hold her waist and carry her
Swing your bodies into the air
When she tickles and teases you endlessly
She do it with love for your eyes to see

Oh,  it is easy to love a poet
A kind of love you will never forget
Her heart is pure,  tender and mild
Yet she loves so much, carefree and wild...

my favorite part is the dew while yours is the sunrise
days left for us, only few, isnt forever but still nice

my favorite part is the night while yours is the sun
if loving you isnt right, i dont care bcs its still amazing

my favorite part is the leaf while yours is the flower
i never want to leave you but it so hart to get us together

my favorite part is when winter, while yours is when summer
would you warm my heart even it already frozen?

my favorite part is the sea while yours is the mountain
ill never set you free but im afraid you wont come back again

my favorite part is blue sky while yours is the white cloud
when you say goodbye my hearts screaming loud

my favorite part is the moon while yours is the dark sky
please come back soon before i say goodbye

my favorite part is the dust while yours is the solid ground
i gave you all my trust but you just left me a wound
tbh this is not my poetry, it's someone else's that i used to know. he's pretty good at writing poetry. I love his poetry, I hope you guys do.

I have spent my whole life
looking into the distance
and watching black birds fly
over the trees

All these houses are boxes
and the fences are cages
and I am trapped here like a bird
with clipped wings

So I look at the horizon
at the far away trees and the
soaring black birds
and wonder what it's like to be free

An Ode Poem to Present Past Times . As the Mind is following its free creating Spirit. Paper is patient, people are not. About Molenwijk, about a cutting artist, a Tale apart....

I feed you with love,
I nourish you with my smile,

my countless patience, my sunshine, my passion,
I nurture you with all things
what can do to you to bloom.

I have brought you my deepest secrets
and feed you with my own blood.

Only you can make me
as I am today.

Thousands of people,
all kinds of interests,

I came and I go back,
nothing I have noticed.

You came from the darkness,
I saw, I discovered
and I made you my own.

I'm your patient owner,
I hold you in my selfless love,
believe me, my past time hero,
our friendship will last
until many degrees below zero.

A sunlit remoted Molenwijk,
amidst of Indian Summer Autumn
Haarlem, a tale apart
precarious people look at you
like you're a piece of living art.

Is it so funny that
a workaholic, an overly prolific
a cutting artist who creates,
when his heart is on maximum optimum?

Molenwijk is very crowded now
and the beautiful sun rays make me sad,
give me feelings of deep tensions,
discomfort, brand new nostalgia
and latest fashioned depressions.

I'm a bit confused,
Slightly terrified,
Been having these thoughts,
They're getting hard to hide.

My mind's been roaming,
Exploring itself,
So I have some things I'd like to share.

*I see all these people suffer,

But I have no clue what to say,
So here's to all of you,
What I've written,
'Cause things might not be going your way.

For the lovers,
I envy you,
Your heart,
Shall never see darkness,
Your heart,
Shall be connected with your mind,
Your heart,
That thing that it holds so dear,
Shall never cease to work in your favour,
And at every fatal ending,
Shall your heart recover,
Quickly,
'Cause the world needs you,
To keep on loving.

For the dreamers,
Oh how I love how you are,
So full of ideas,
Your mind,
Shall never lose it's colours,
Your mind,
Shall never lead you astray,
Your mind,
Those things that fly around in it,
Shall never be discouraged,
Never lose hope,
'Cause without you,
The world won't be so innovative.

For the hopeful,
I'm just like you,
Although that hope is false sometimes,
Never stop hoping,
Your hopes,
Shall not cause you pain,
Your hopes,
Shall bring pleasant ends,
Your hopes,
Whatever they may be for,
Shall never bring you regrets,
And remember that you're not exactly naive,
You're just needed,
And so you might experience repeated events,
'Cause without you,
The dreamers might lose hope.

For the depressed,
I'm one of you,
And I have a lot to say to you,
You,
Don't deserve whatever you're going through,
Never think that you do,
You,
Shall find happiness,
Hopefully soon,
You,
Shall become one of the hopeful,
And never lose faith,
You,
Whatever it is that you're going through,
Shall not defeat you,
If you think it has,
I want to meet you,
'Cause you keep me going everyday,
Remind me that I'm not alone.

For the suicidal,
You are worth a lot,
Your pain,
Shall not takeover you,
Your pain,
Shall not control your actions,
Your pain,
However painful it may be,
Is not the only thing you can feel,
Keep holding on,
'Cause you give me a reason to live,
You are amazing no matter what anyone says,
And I can't lose my best friend,
Not in that way.

For the fearful,
I was once like you,
Your fears,
Shall not control your life,
Your fears,
Shall only give you something to fight,
Your fears,
Whatever they are of,
Shall not define your might,
You are stronger than you think,
'Cause without you,
Too many people would be oblivious.

For the happy,
I dream to be like you,
Your happiness,
Shall never seize,
Your heart,
Shall forever sparkle with joy,
You,
Shall never forget others,
'Cause for many,
What you have is a dream,
And who better to help attain something,
Than those who possess it.

For those unmentioned,
You are nothing but important,
Whatever category you fall into,
Is special like any other,
You're in my mind and in my heart,
There's just so many,
I wish I could remember,
So peace and love be with everyone who reads this,
*Forever.
I love every single one of you,
I haven't been part of this community for up to a year but you guys keep me going and I have met so many amazing people, there are no words to express how grateful I am for all of you. You guys always know how to brighten my day and everyone is so incredibly talented.
So I just want to tell you guys that you should keep going, don't let anyone change you, not even rearrange you and things will work out in the end, if things aren't looking good yet, then you're not even close to the end.
Thank you guys so much for everything,
Especially reading this long piece.

                      He Lives Within

Within my heart there is a place,
Where love is always found.
The place is where my savior lives,
No matter where I am bound.
His name is Jesus and his face,
I someday yearn to see .
Jesus came for you, and me,
from sin to set us free.
Reach out for His loving hand,
and though your knees are weak,
He'll help you stand.
Look into His loving gaze,
He is with you through all your days.
And when He gently whispers your name,
You will never be the same.
This poem was written by my sister Cathy and appeared in the October 2015 , Sr. Perspective, River edition newspaper in the Poets Corner section. I am delighted that she let me share this with all my Hello Poetry friends.

Taking my child in my heart
To comfort his griefs,
Taking my child in my arms
To dry his tears,
Taking my child in my hand
To absorb his sadness.

Taking my child in my life
To lead him to his future,
Taking my child in my hope
To give him confidence in his stride,
Taking my child in my coloured dreams
And let him go to sleep in peace.

Space has been our nemesis
And so as time
There comes the longing,
That becomes pain
But love will rise above them all
Yes, nothing
Nothing can defeat our love
Yet only you can defeat me
Because in your love
I will totally surrender

Again, for those who are not yet holding joy in their hands.
