as the clock of life
ticks away its years advance
unto a dotage

Violin strings broken by a pacing mind...

Flower beds trampled by rugged feet...

Sky crashing over the head like a curse...

Sunsets but remnants of tears long rolled down the cheek...

Her world just turned to being colourless...

Trapped in that one single heartbeat  only which can sustain!
For that one moment in life when it seems just the end... Let us keep hope!
Thank you for reading this... ❣

I have three sons,
The eldest gave me money,
Live a good life mummy and left,
I will send you more,
I didn't want his money for I had my own,
With his I will have to be wary of thieves.
The youngest gave me a huge maisonette and a  luxurious car with a chauffeur,
Live in style mum,
No, maintaining your house and car would be a strain on my old self.
The second came with his wife and two children,
We give you ourselves and our care,
We have enough to have you with us,
To hold your hands forever,
In health and sickness,
I said Yes!

As I hear the wind blow through the leaves of the ancient cottonwood trees.
And I watch the squirrels gather their nuts and prepare for the coming winter, I'm reminded of a few things that come softly in the whisper of the autumn wind for all to hear, if they listen.

Behind the poem is a poet, a lover, maybe a mother or a father. But most of all there is a human being. They feel, and they love. They have been overwrought with pain. And enraptured by Joy. They need  compassion and friendship and the human touch.
Tread lightly, for you tread upon
their hearts.
Lovers will always love. Haters will always hate. What a putrid existence to not have compassion for our fellow man. Me and my friend Luis are experimenting with turning poetry into music, please check out our projects on  https://www.bandlab.com/thomaswcase .

I held the moon

And knew immortality

I traded all my unforsaken days

To move within the eternal orbit of her night

To eclipse death

Yet here then the gap narrowed

Even a broken heart can love again...just be patient and give it time.

Sometimes absence is required to feel a person's presence more intensely.

~
We don't need
Other worlds
We need mirrors

We need thin waists
And a hysteresis curve
To the hips

Let us drink in the sea
And laugh as our number
Comes up

Let us commit
To be noncommittal
And talk nary a word

On age and death
Over afternoon tea
In the bright withered garden

Where the goodness of man
Longed to be more
Than its darkling reflection

Hold on,
even if the pain seems unending.
Nothing lasts forever!!!

Be it a relationship or health or work or academics...you have to keep working at it constantly...you can never be complacent.
