What happened to you
Is part of your story.
And I love you even though
It came with no glory.
Because what matters to me,
Isn't your strength.
It isn't your ability
To stop, breath and think.
I thought it was obvious, but I guess I'll explain.
It's your heart, don't you see?
Though it's been through all this pain
It's remained earnest and pure.
Even though you can't see.
Please trust me when I say,
That where you are is where I'll be.
Always and forever
Your Happiness is your own responsibility.

Silence Screamz
Seething through the broken night
Shush the moment brought to light

The whispers heard by crying sound
as footprints cross the solemn ground

Gates passed through to Bachelor's Grove
Eyes of cold and constant flows

She haunts your thoughts and every step
Shivering spine with goose bumps left

Ghostly figures at night time stray
Orbs on  film can't look away

Look right through the fields of stone
Aged with time and weathered tone

Shoulders tapped with haunted thought
The air was empty, your mind is caught

Turned around with no one there
Hallow's Eve with more to scare

Visions of past and Chicago's dead
Rise on up through blackened thread

Screams of terror and morbid sins
Stopped in tracks, they're gone again

Reach the gate of rusted steel
Fallen down on deadly keel

Out of the depths of the spirit's trove
Passed through the gates of Bachelor's Grove
a little Halloween themed piece about Bachelor's Grove cemetery in Chicago, a really haunting experience

Finley in Despair
If I die tonight,
One scary theory
Is true

If one memory repeats,
For all eternity
I hope it is about you
A scary but beautiful theory after death: your most cherished memories will repeat over and over and over again.

( written by my sister, shared with permission from the author)

                      He Lives Within

Within my heart there is a place,
Where love is always found.
The place is where my savior lives,
No matter where I am bound.
His name is Jesus and his face,
I someday yearn to see .
Jesus came for you, and me,
from sin to set us free.
Reach out for His loving hand,
and though your knees are weak,
He'll help you stand.
Look into His loving gaze,
He is with you through all your days.
And when He gently whispers your name,
You will never be the same.
This poem was written by my sister Cathy and appeared in the October 2015 , Sr. Perspective, River edition newspaper in the Poets Corner section. I am delighted that she let me share this with all my Hello Poetry friends.
To  take  a  leap
Into the unknown
            Is terrifying
       For comets do flow
On the Tao on their own!
Alter the sweet sparks
Sizzle and crack
In bliss and surprise

what's this liquid falling from the sky
with its pitter-patter, pitter-patter?
to the drought of summer, it says "goodbye"
with its splitter-splatter, splitter-splatter!
look and watch as the world grows vibrant
as it pitter-patters, pitter-patters!
oh, thank you, dear clouds, for being our hydrant
as it splitter-splatters, splitter-splatters!
watch as the parched lives are finally quenched
by its pitter-patter, pitter-patter!
the once dry earth at last is drenched
by its splitter-splatter, splitter-splatter!
It just rained here today for the first time in almost three months, at least the first time it's rained beyond a slight mist, and I'm so happy.

~

I chased the sun
until it set

I watched the rain
while getting wet

I went to sleep
so I could dream

I danced beneath
a soft moon beam

I sang a song
way out of tune

I pictured waves
out past the dune

I climbed a hill
covered with snow

I planted seeds
to watch them grow

I waved at cars
just passing by

I pondered clouds
upon the sky

I counted stars
high up above

I wrote a poem
filled with love

But…

The greatest thing
that I could do

I fell in love
with only you

I know...
I am not one of the pages of your book
or the words in your poem
But...
I will tirelessly watch over you from every nook.

I know I am your never
but you will forever be my always...

I know...
I am not the potrait you are painting
or the inspiration behind your masterpieces
But...
in my heart , it is your name I am engraving.

I know I am your never
but you will forever be my always...

I know...
I am not the reason for your smiles
or the tickles of your laughter
But...
for you, I would walk a thousand miles.

I know I am your never
but you will forever be my always...

I know...
I am not your shining star
or the light in your life
But...
till forever is through, I'll admire you from afar.

I know I am your never
but you will forever be my always...

I know...
I am not the one your heart beats for
or the one you desire
But...
my hearts says as long as it brings you happiness,
it wants nothing more.

I know I am your never
**but you will forever be my always...
"Every feeling unreturned has its own rainbow."
Let your heart lead the way...
You were the story I would never write
the dog-eared pages in my favourite books
and the highlighted words in the best poems i knew
you were my 6am coffee and my midday sun
and the twilight that illuminated the walls of this old house
you were the sunset that hid behind the ocean
before arising again as the moon, from the earth
my heaven, my universe and all of my stars
I let you become a god and you eventually turned to myth
we wrote legends about you, ballads and tragedies,
and i saw the sunlight leak from your eyes
and spill onto this concrete over months of aching
golden ichor that seeped into the cracks of the soil
you made flowers grow where you bled, and there were stars,
stars instead of tears when you cried
When i cried with you, and we built a new universe
one entirely our own, no demons, no monsters,
no angels and gods and cruel humans can find us here
we fly together
we die together
you and I until the end
this isnt a love song, im not in love please i just miss you

The Market crashed as the people dashed
   All the banks closed down
   The people frowned
   Natural disasters were all around
Stock brokers quite literally took a dive
   Many people died
On the day the earth stood still

    The daily grind
     The worry over bills
Was replaced with the need to just survive
Some people rioted just to get something to eat
On the day the earth stood still

       Some people screamed
        While others cried
Some people looked down looking for someone to blame
Still others looked outward and sought ways to help out
Some people banded together to keep each other and their         neighbors alive
        Some people looked up
While some people prayed for wisdom for themselves and others
        to get through this trial
Some people looked within only and felt all alone
Still others thought of this as a test of their will
On The Day The Earth Stood Still

I wonder if we were faced with this crisis
         would we stand together
         or fall apart ?
perhaps the answer is found already in our hearts
If we are lacking a strong network of family and friends
Now is the time to start
We don't want to be found slacking if the world falls apart
Sometimes things happen in a blink of an eye
It might be best to get ready just in case
No time left for slacking if The Earth Stands Still
I recently watched the Movie San Andres, and it got me thinking and writing with this as a result. I would love your feedback and comments Thank You !
