Tonight is a night when the sky is
                   midnight blue velvet,

a night when the city on the
                   hill turns to Christmas
                   lights.

Tonight is a night when laughter and
                                 mirth flow freely,

                                 when camaraderie
                                 pillows in the air.

Tonight is a night when friendship
                                            warms the
                                            soul,

                                           good company
                                           fills the heart,

                                           and you wish it
                                           wouldn't end.
Inspired by an evening hanging out with friends I haven't see in a while.

the sky
cried heavily
in her pain,
that night
even the moon
hid behind
dark skies
and grieved
with the rain,
the whole universe
attended the funeral
of her heart,
as she buried
in silence
all that
what had become
from her apart.

I was not born a

poet.

I was broken into

one.

I don't know
how I feel.

It's hard
to put a label
on what
I don't know.

So, I'll remain here
sitting
contemplating
and
crying

all over you.

Simple
Drink me till I'm half empty,
fill me up till I'm half full,
I wonder why I'm always
so dry
to figure out how
I'm
living this
lie,
to live like
a
water-bottle
with not much
time.
eh goodnight.

I had coffee at my lips
And good intentions with you

You had passion as fingertips
And a slow withering heart

I'm falling in love with you
Life is setting the punchline

your obsession with blackholes made me wish i was one
like the way i once wished i am math and science
oh, what a geek you are!

(to make me compete with these things for your attention)
"you in less than fifty words" is a series of one-sided poetic snippets.

Don't worry, love,
I know those gates of stone
stand firmly
to guard the most precious parts
of your soul.

I am not here like the others;
not as a warrior
planning a siege
or a strategist
plotting to knock them down.

I respect your walls too much.

You have fought in more wars
than most;
you have been betrayed by more loves
than most could survive -
your walls are the result
of your scars.

So here I stand before you,
my weapons laid down,
my intentions spread out before the Sun,
with nothing in my hands
but open palms,
asking you
to let me in.

Show me, love,
all those terrible,
beautiful
wild flowers
growing in your garden -
I want to do nothing
but paint them to remember,
and carry their fallen petals
safely in my heart.

Open up to me, please,
my love -
I am already yours.
